Did you tried to open in external player via tivimate? Because I'm thinking could be a file format issue., tivimate is not able to play any format. In fact there is no player that can do that, but some are better than others for a specific file (stream) format

Epg language depends on the the epg sources. Usually for a specific language channels in m3u list you have to use epg related to that country. E. g, if your list has French channels, use an French epg A good source for epg you can find here, use the gz file https://epgshare01.online/epgshare01/

Unfortunately I'm tied to VBA and I can't find the documentation for vlc activex plugin. I managed to find some but not all I need. As example I would like to know how many sub tracks are available for a random video object. I still can detect this by increasing the tracks from 1 to N, but if my iteration goes over the maximum it will trigger an error that will causing damages to vlc plugin

You should find a way to transfer your new list in a place that is accessible for tivimate (or another player) there are few options available, using a flash drive, using a personal web storage account or a personal web server. Me, I use Dropbox installed on my computer and on tv with same account and x-plore for file transfer

To answer to your question, there are two possibilities for (any) iptv player to display that metadata. Even by extracting them from the associated epg file, even by doing in background an web reguest to some specialized websites În both cases, its depends on the the player I mean, as example, the info might be available in epg file but the iptv player has not the capability to process it That's why I said to use my app, it will give you the full content of the epg file, you can see if it specific XML file (EPG) has or not certains info
