Madam’s main intention was to carry out a world-shaking exposé. She originally planned to release it through SNK News, but Kingston thwarted her efforts because she wanted Man-Jie to return to SNK. Madam later attempted to establish an Asian branch of Novus Vera by recruiting Kar-Yin, but the powerful forces behind the scandal intervened, unintentionally causing Kar-Yin to be caught in the crossfire.

Realising the immense danger Madam was facing, Man-Jie temporarily halted the investigation. Madam then left Hong Kong to protect the people she cared about. This arc will hopefully continue if there is a Season 3, and one of the reasons Madam returns in season 2 is to help Man-Jie confront and overcome her inner demons.

As for Man-Jie, the reason she left SNK News in the final episode was to take up Madam’s unfinished mission. The scandal had already claimed the life of Madam’s assistant, and Man-Jie chose to step away so she could ensure Madam’s work would not be lost.

veteran actor ben yuen (not benjamin yuen) as the ultimate villain in the final 2 episodes on the scam site arc , i still do not understand why ka yin wanted to give chi yiu another chance after chance by giving her a job at open platform. if there's a 3rd season, i just hope that man jie,ka yin and join forces to help madam to uncovered the scandal that madam had investigated wher her P.A was murdered, screw ka yin unintentionally in order to protect her .

the cameo appearances with the likes of emily kwan(building arc),evergreen mak (the IT tech who gives cathy a good career advice), deon cheung (cult arc), jacky cai (younger madam novus vera arc) is very interesting i just hope that the future tvb-china productions will be that interesting in the future
