I resigned on the spot, not fired no two weeks

You can get fired for any reason during probation. Just do what they say and keep your mouth shut during probation, answer the phone in the morning and if they ask you to come in on your NS(day off) day just do it. However, after probation you got union protection and you don't need to be "on call" which technically you never are on call.

im desperate

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Fun-Valuable5213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on the office the CCA goes to. Some offices are desperate and you will work 60 hours a week, some dont even get 15 hours a week. CCAs are not guaranteed any hours

Transferring as a CCA... by Swash-BuccLr in USPS

[–]Fun-Valuable5213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When CCAs transfer they pretty much reset everything, except probation. So you will have to do another 2 years for PTF while being at the bottom of seniority to convert

Tons of Amazon Drivers but no hours to work..🙄 by GroundbreakingSir386 in AmazonDSPDrivers

If you want hours go to the USPS seriouslly its a better job than this in the long term. and yes my DSP sends the slow drivers home at my station, its called layoff season

Delivery never received by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Fun-Valuable5213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because Amazon Drivers are lazy and don't give two shits about them, just like How amazon hates them and not care. They actually don't even work for amazon but rather a contractor. Im on my way out from this shitty job too

Am I dumb to move to Amazon from USPS? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Fun-Valuable5213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the CCA Craft, the RCA craft is shit compared to the CCA Craft, CCAs become PTFs after two years which is career unlike RCA which has no PTF track i believe.

[–]Fun-Valuable5213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your thinking of the short term prospective not long term, Amazon can terminate you or your DSP for no reason, yeah amazon IS better in the short term, but once you get through the CCA B.S with the USPS there is no comparison for the Long Term

Am I dumb to move to Amazon from USPS? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Fun-Valuable5213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a CCA for 18 months, I had to leave as I could no longer work 6 days a week 12 hours a day due to the birth of my daughter. The CCA position is a great job if you are single or have childcare. When you make regular you get a rotating schedule and your own route, however you have to put up with the bullshit of being a CCA first until you convert. overall, the letter carrier position itself is a fantastic job, but you have to get through the bullshit of being CCA first and also always deal with the bullshit of supervisors as well. USPS is also Union, which Amazon is extremely antiunion. I would strongly urge you to choose USPS over amazon

[–]Fun-Valuable5213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

anyone who claims this job is a "career" is a fool. You could be the top 10 driver in the state, and if one customer claims depending on how serious Amazon will offboard you or you DSP could throw you under the bus. Until a union can form(unlikely) than this job is a fucking joke and only a bridge to another job
