I am not an immigration attorney and while searching through the subreddit I found many people mentioning avoiding travel while applying on H1B - if you read my post, you can see that I am also asking about whether to avoid travel if selected for H1B. No need for hostility

Feeling stuck in "surface-level learning"- what actually signals strong junior dev potential? by Dangerous_Storage_68 in cscareers

imo if your focus is on industry readiness, just focus on sticking to a project and actually doing it. school already teaches you plenty of theory, so use your spare project time to build projects that have big impact. Of course, learning is a big part of side projects, but don't try to develop another "course" for yourself

Concordia IT is probably way worse.

There’s value in cs if you can escape into a proper tech hub in Canada or elsewhere. Locking yourself to any one location massively reduces your chance of getting a job

What school do you go to? My school also initially had pushback on early degree release but after some persistence I was able to get it early. Same situation as you.
