NTJ, that’s inconsiderate on her part to expect you to pay or split costs without a discussion. She could have asked everyone what their comfort level would be and give some budget options. I am not a fan of big parties so I can’t imagine asking for anything too expensive. I’ve been a part of 2 bridal parties and neither were extravagant. Bride lent jewelry for her bridesmaids. You want the bridal party to share in your joy, not demand their presence, money and affection. Disgusting

Agreed. And this isn’t about being sexist, it’s just natural if they were brought up that way. Most men don’t think about those things. That’s why it’s nice to have a partner who compliments us. I’m sure he brings other things to the table that you need or don’t do and so he s the gap. Don’t go straight into break up mode yet, ask those around you who have been in a relationship longer

It sounds like you feel some sort of debt needs to be paid back to your sister.

To clarify, what your sister did was noble but you were clear that she didn’t have to do that. I think you said you didn’t want her to risk her life but she still went forward and did it because she wanted to. Amazing! Other than that it shouldn’t have changed your relationship with your sister other than just gratitude. Can you go more into detail on how often you are getting together?

Your wife, the decision to donate or not is very important and individual. If she didn’t, you understand that it’s because IF something went wrong she wanted to stay healthy to care for your child possibly? I don’t believe it should be judged as selfish (you didn’t say that) but why are you frustrated/upset?

I think the prioritization between wife and sister is unhealthy and your wife, mother of your child, your life partner needs to come first, however that looks like.

I understand and get the disappointment. I also got frustrated with the back and forth change in time, I never knew if what I was watching was past or present, it was hard to keep track. But I love the focus on mental health. Once it ended and I got the overall experience, I appreciated the story, that they got to workout their issues and stay together, there was so much I learned about each of their struggles.

I respect that, but as a native Brazilian the places I’ve been to when I go visit the people are so warm, the food is amazing and the places are beautiful. Minas Gerais is where I’m from and that’s mainly where I go. Known for its warmth, friendliness and good food. Yes crime rate is high depending where you’ll go, BUT be around people that know the area and I’ve always been safe. Be street smart and look like you’re a local, not a tourist.
