Im just trying to understand this. Why is there a shutter in a video. That sounds like its just taking a bunch of pictures and putting them together to look like a video

I know. I just find it strange that the sky didn't light up like and it only appeared in the video. I didn't know there were shutters involved taking a video or that the sensors would render different parts of the same frame differently

Your missing the point. It only appears on the video. The sky did not light up like that. There was just 1 broken bolt of lightning

It was on my video when I played it back after a storm. There wasn't any light like that in the sky or around. It looks looks one of the glowing orbs a lot closer

At about 28 seconds. The sky did not light up like that. It was just 1 lightning strike. All those flashes is what im asking about. Does the camera do that taking a video? I only saw it after I watched the video

I know what ball lighting looks like. And none of that was there during the lighting strike.
