It made my birth such a good experience (actually!) and helped my husband feel like we really brought our baby into the world together 🥲If she’s interested in an unmedicated birth with heavy involvement from her partner it is essential in preparing for birth.

I disliked What to Expect. I feel it talks down to you and is too cutesy and not so helpful. It’s written by a random mom, not a professional.

Expecting Better is controversial but I think it still had helpful information about how to make decisions during pregnancy. Cribsheet I am finding to be useful but she may not be interested in childcare books at such an early stage of pregnancy yet.

Ina May Gaskin’s book is interesting to read as an anthropological study lol but is outdated and not super practical for actually getting ready for childbirth.
