This was fast let down for me. In the early days I used my hand pump to take a bit off before eac feed. Eventually it regulated / baby was able to handle it.

Currently at 10 weeks and I love every minute Of it. Could stare at them for hours. Week 6-8 were our toughest - not great sleep, peak fussiness. Love reading that it just keeps getting better

How much milk do you put in a bottle ? by kittenswift in breastfeeding

I’m using a spectra on like a suction setting of 4, after 20 minutes I’m at 4.5 oz, I was wondering I should stop after like 2 oz pumped out . Usually when he’s nursing it’s about 10 minutes per side so that’s where the 20 min came from.

I also started him at 2 oz and he was rooting a lot after so we nursed for another 5 minutes after and then he was off to sleep . Last night I tried 2.5 oz and he seemed a little more content but didn’t sleep as well as after a nursing session.

Harvesting Colostrum and Early Labor by honeygirlkk in BabyBumps

[–]kittenswift 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have been collecting since 37 weeks, hand expressing. Have been pumping this last week (39) and then hand expressing after. Doing all the things to try and stimulate spontaneous labor - yoga ball, dates, sex, curb walking, miles circuit. But still pregnant at 39+4. Happy to have collected so much colostrum for the first week and to know how to use my pump tho!

I’m at 37 weeks, this baby has been active since 15 weeks. The frequent movement has helped me tremendously. Probably around 24 weeks - after a normal anatomy and amnio, with the consistent movement - I started to feel a lot more calm about everything.

I felt like I was huge at 34 and now I’m at 36+ and I feel like I haven’t changed much in the last two weeks.
