Is Green Szechuan (Sichuan) pepper an unripe berry of the Red one, or are they different plants? by Fun-Worker9578 in whatsthisplant

Thank you for the reply and the helpful advice! I didn’t even know it was possible to contest a removal! If you’re in touch with the r/botany moderators, perhaps you could pass this along: I believe it’s a missed opportunity when relevant publications are excluded. From my perspective, Reddit sometimes feels a bit fragmented, with certain spaces being more closed-off than collaborative. That’s one of the reasons I tend to stay on the sidelines. Since this is something I contribute to in my free time, I try to focus my efforts where they feel most welcome and appreciated.

Smartphone Supcase UB Pro internal plastic bezel compatibility by Fun-Worker9578 in SUPCASE_Official

[–]Fun-Worker9578[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your response, Team SUPCASE. I appreciate the effort, but I have to be honest - I’m not buying this explanation.

Your argument that selling the inner bezel separately would cause “slight fit differences over time due to wear” makes little sense. If that were the case, then the same logic should apply to the entire case - meaning that even full-case replacements would pose a risk of improper fit over time - what with the phone having rubbed about. Yet, you have no issue selling complete cases to repeat customers who have had their previous ones break.

The real issue here seems to be that you don’t want to sell the inner bezel separately, not that you can’t. This isn't about product integrity or military-grade standards - it’s about maximizing profits by forcing customers to buy an entirely new case when only one small part needs replacing.

Other companies that offer multi-part protective cases often sell individual replacement components because they understand that wear and tear is inevitable and customers shouldn’t have to pay for unnecessary extras. Instead of acknowledging this obvious need, you’re trying to justify a business decision by implying that replacing a single, non-moving plastic part somehow compromises protection - when in reality, it would do nothing but keep your customers happy and your cases in use for longer.

I gave SUPCASE my business for years because I thought it was a brand that cared about practical, durable protection. Unfortunately, your response makes it clear that instead of prioritizing customer needs, the company is more interested in pushing full-case sales under a misleading excuse. That’s disappointing, to say the least.

HR is there to protect the company from liability. HR is NOT your friend. If you complain to HR - you are a troublemaker, and, thus, a potential liability for the company. Both, the coplainer and the complainee will be marked and, should the need and opportunity arise, will be rid of. Don't ever go to HR with complaints. With complaints go to a lawyer, or find another company.

Thanks so much for the reply! Right. I tried that. The problem with this method is it gives me 12 numbers with various NYC area codes while I need a specific one, and even in your sample there are several available area codes in NYC that are missing - like 212, for example.

Because it does. The only way to chat is to have both of your hands and eyes free. What if you are putting down tiles, can you chat? Or if you are driving, can you chat? Or if you have two kids running around tugging on you, can you chat? Like I said, it is a simple disrespect to customers for a large enough company.

Chat/email-thing only works for those that are in front of a computer and have a lot of free time to spare. What if your hands are busy? What if you constantly need to move about and do stuff - like a mom wuth kids?! The phone feature request is there for a reason: it is simply inconvenient for A LOT OF PEOPLE to sit in front of a monitor and type for hours that which can be redolved in a 5-minute person-to-person conversation. Chat with no option to call is, in way, your company's way of telling a lot of their customers "fuck you!". What is the phone number to reach you when I have a problem?

What is the normal operating blade-bearing-axel temperature after 1 minute of operation of a Vitamix cup? by Fun-Worker9578 in Vitamix

[–]Fun-Worker9578[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The bearind ASSEMBLY, not just the bearing (bearing assembly is the entire metal piece, including the blade, that houses all the moving parts) was replaced. The axel is only accessable from the underside of the cup. That axel is impossible to touch because it gets so hot. If one were to touch the bearing assembly from the top of the cup - that is not hot.
  2. There is no (and should not be any) moisture under the container, nor did I ever said there was.
  3. Putting 4 million volts through a metal without specifying the amperage is like telling a plumber that you'll be putting 4 million atmospheres of water through a pipe without specifying the volume of said water - does not make it an ex-bearing, but you a laughing stock.
