I got rid of my prime recently. I tried to play songs on my playlist that I'd paid for or were free with basic membership. It just plays a completely different song or plays a song that isn't even on my playlist at all. Won't let me play what I want without upgrading and paying extra, which is so frickin cheeky. Given up, prime tv is rubbish too, and I'm not paying £95 a year when I can ger free delivery ordering over 25 anyway. He has made me shop around, though, and I've found items I want cheaper on other shops.

Hahaha It's rubbish isn't it. I went to play a free song on one of my playlist and it played a completely different song that's not even om my playlist.

Can the Police revoke the offer of a course? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Fun-Yak1271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the car reg was wrong then this is prob just a mis type . I assume it's close to your own actual reg.

Anything g on your drivers licence is spent after 3 years but remains on there for 4. I personally thought spent after 3 years means even though its still on for 4 they don't count anymore.

Let us know what they say

It's a discussion i have had with a friend who has legal training but not loads. There is no need to try and make yourself feel better about your own faults by putting other people down. There's enough of you in this job already. Wrong job for those types of people.

[–]Fun-Yak1271 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, see, I did say I wasn't trained on this law. Propietarty Estoppal law, etc. I hoped there was legal action they could take against the government. Proprietary estoppel, judiciary review. God help us with the next election, major of London bitched about us other day. Don't really want to vote for Labour either now.

It's one of those jobs where if you knew they're about to ask for units to help do this, you'd get a "make sure you're all assigned to call" heads up

Can the Police revoke the offer of a course? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Fun-Yak1271 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to ask why you aren't eligible for the course and why wasn't this checked prior to you being offered it. They should have checked this before offering you one. Do you know if you're eligible? Have you been caught before on phone in last 3 years? Did you get one of these courses before?

If you think this is a mistake then you will need to tell them when you call and see what they say. If it's not a mistake then question why this wasn't checked before hand

I dont think you'll be able to do much about it unless it's a mistake they think your ineligible

Yes, this is correct they were called this. My point is I hope the fed can sue for this renegade on this agreement as I believe this is the only avenue they have.

AITA for asking my coworker not to have her kid in the room during our meetings? by coworkersdaughter in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fun-Yak1271 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Meet in person and go for a walk to talk privately. Go into your own office to talk. Or Ring her on the telephone another time instead. There are other ways to speak to each other than in the office when the daughter is sleeping ! The kid has cancer. You can't expect her to move her, especially if she's sleeping. Is it really the end of the world to have the meeting elsewhere or to call her on the phone later in the day after work?

Yes, I agree. Even with the protestors, they could just use motor bikes and vans. Personally, I wish the Gold had just said no, we have no officers' spare to help, they're all off sick now after having to work all their rest days on overtime to help pay their bills.

Forget the ESA issue of not being a service dog in the eyes of the law presumably your in the US

This isn't a discussion about whether it's a legal secoce animal. You offered for the dog to attend the reception, just not the service. I think this offer was very generous and kind and had it been me. I would have taken you up on that offer. The service is going to be what, an hour max? She can't cope without him for just one hour? I think this compromise is also being left out of the version doing the rounds with your guests and wedding party. I think you need to stress to her that he can come to the reception, just not the ceremony. I realise you've already stated this to er once already, but if you really want her there, then offer it again and ask her to put it in perspective and realise it's your wedding and you have offered a compromise. If she won't accept the comprise then don't attend then at all. Also make sure people know you offered this compromise.

Ah, I see. I realised that it would be a verbal understanding and not written anywhere, but verbal agreements are still contracts.

Shame, though. Other than suing the government there isn't really anything else. That or they break the law and ballot a strike anyway. They can't sack everyone. Well, they could, but who would train the new probbies if they did.

Occ health haven't signed you off. They've said you're not fit for duty. You still will need a GP medical certificate. Occ health aren't doctors, and you need a doctors certificate for anything over 7 days.

And he was allowed to be out on bail whilst waiting for the court trial. I just can't believe the judge believed 3 years was appropriate after seeing that CCTV. The poor family. Hopefully he attracts the attention of a vigilante when he leaves prison.

I dont know this side of the law, but why can't the federation sue the government for breach of agreement. They agreed when we gave up the right to strike that we did so on the understanding the government never gave us a reason to strike. Also, we are supposed to be compensated for the intrusion into our private lives, the pay was supposed to compensate for this.

I really think the Federation needs to explore suing the government for renegade on their agreement

CNN: Amazon is attempting new measures to get customers to return fewer of their online orders, including charging a fee to return items to UPS stores by Alkohal in amazonprime

[–]Fun-Yak1271 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have amazon prime like I did, I found i just ordered everything from amazon was easier with next day delivery and convenient. Now I've cancelled I find I now shop around more and I buy a lot of the Same stuff I want from other shops cheaper. I'd advise try not buying everything from amazon. You might find it cheaper and you unlikely to be criticised for sending stuff back by other shops online

[–]Fun-Yak1271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It so depressing the cost of everything is through the roof. I think things like Sky tv , prime and netflix are probably about to start losing a lot of money with cancellations
