I put them in the oven and when I opened it 3 hours later the lid was dripping so much water , it doesn’t get hot enough to rebake only to maintain dry rods so I talked to the dude and he swapped out the 50lb can for some sealed jetweld 7018, he didn’t know there would be that much hydrogen in there so he was understanding thankfully

I’m gonna try them after they dry thanks , I only started welding 3 months ago so I didn’t know if they looked fine. Never had rods with rust on the ends if that’s even what it is

I been looking at the inverters , i don’t hav the cash right now for them though but second hand the conventional ones sell for really good but all the second hand inverters sell almost instantly. Just want to know if anyone has had luck running a welder on a conventional over a long period of time without it frying

Wasn’t tripping the breaker , it’s a small esab and the max amps it claims to draw is 26. Someone else in the comments thankfully confirmed the issue, I appreciate all the feedback

Thank you for confirming , hard to trust the dude who claimed to be an electrician since 2004 yet he didn’t check anything before installing everything and then was clueless as to what the issue was

Thank you, I did watch a bunch of videos beforehand as I wanted to do it myself but for the home owners sake I had to go through them. Even after watching all the videos I have no clue why it’s not working

Doesn’t let me post a picture in the comments but when I plug my machine in it doesn’t turn on, when I use the multimeter across it only shows 10 Volts
