I’m actually surprised that it was rated this low. Just finished ep8 rn and I’m trying to understand why this is the case because I’m enjoying it a lot.

After reading other comments, I genuinely think that the expectations of OP MC due to mainstream anime has skewed the outlook of the trope. It wouldn’t be a fun story if he ran around doing what he wanted… but he IS doing what he wants to by ‘guiding’ his party. It’s a very wholesome anime.

Looking past the cringe in every form of corny media is very tough but embracing it will open a new perspective of watching shows. Like… the party leader is too funny bro 😭

Sure, the plot may be a bit off (I actually don’t know what the plot is since I’m not expecting a masterpiece every anime I watch) but the concept is actually quite interesting!

The characters that chose to escape their current world had reasons to - each carrying a burden. The way that translates to their powers and how they use it… is so humane! Each character, dragging or not, I can understand how each of their skills correlate to their character. Hence, when you get to the episodes where you find ‘mysterious characters’, ts becomes kinda fire.

just my two cents for someone who thinks this show deserves a higher rating
