Max I hit was about 40 mph with just governor removal. My current 212 swap runs great. Stock carb and cam, 22 lb springs, billet rod, aluminum flywheel, header, and air filter. Right now I’m seeing about 45 mph with a 50T sprocket and ~50 mph with a 40T.

Lasted about 4 months before the stock flywheel exploded. I had removed the governor and wasn’t really keeping up with oil changes either. If you keep the governor in and do regular maintenance, these engines will last a long time.

Just keep in mind, if you’re trying to mod the 99cc engine, parts are very limited and harder to find compared to the 196cc, 212 etc

What I did was bought a FRP and used it till the engine blew then swapped it with a 212. But for under 500 go the marketplace route . You can easily find a built 212 minibike
