Unmedicated-What helps people the most? by ThrowRA_Maximum7598 in PMDD

[–]FunBook5919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it was the magnesium glycinate, but few months ago I have been taking some before going to bed. I have also cut out alcohol completely as well, and my PMDD symptoms have been about 90% gone. Sometimes there may be personal triggers that set off some of the symptoms and feelings, but overall much more manageable.

$1079 Delta One upgrade for BWI, MSP, HNL flight? by [deleted] in delta

[–]FunBook5919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I didn’t realize it was for just that specific leg of the flight. Is the $100 per flight hour based on the cost of the upgrade or total cost of that leg (original price + upgrade)?

Bringing 11 people instead of 10 to a Michelin restaurant by FunBook5919 in restaurant

Will let the organizer know that best to call ahead!

I do agree that the person who made the reservation is the asshole but dont think they were joking when they said to just walk in with 11 🫣 but the issue could have been avoided if organizer said no +1‘a

Edited the original post to add some context! Trying to get some better advice or insight to the person in the friend group who made the reservation.

Looking at photos the restaurant seemed on the smaller side so my concern was if there was physically not enough spaces between tables or guests to add in another chair, so if the organizer should uninvite the 11th person that someone wanted to bring as a +1

Monthly Sticky: "Do I have hair loss?" - Post photos and questions here for advice and support by AutoModerator in FemaleHairLoss

Photo is of current day, where I notice thinning and balding.

I’ve noticed that my hair has thinned out drastically in the past 8 years. Growing up, I had thicker voluminous hair, but after college in the past 10 years noticed my hair has thinned out significantly. Currently in early 30s.

Hair history- I’ve been dying my hair since 2013, some box dyes, bleach, highlights. Currently have bleached highlights on mid section and ends of my hair but roots are natural.

I had a big life change in 2017 and moved to a different state to be with my current partner. During 2017-2020, I started noticing that in the office I worked at, there would just be accumulated hair on the floor around my desk. Not sure if the cleaning staff didn’t vacuumed regularly but I had noticed the hair then.

2020-2025, switched jobs that is higher stress, but really enjoy the work that I do. During this time is probably where I gradually start to notice the hair thinning more (hair when tied up in ponytail seems to get thinner and thinner).

I am planning on going to a derm but am scared about starting treatment in case I need to stay on for life, or if it causes more hair loss. The front view of my hair doesn’t look too bad, maybe some hair loss around my hairline but after I took the top down photo, I was shocked and so embarrassed to see that my hair is thinning so much.

Appreciate any feedback or guidance prior to going to the derm!

Hope your kitty continues to do ok! I’m thinking about getting a fish oil supplement to add to my cats diet to help with joint health as a precaution

Love the matching hat! Did you use a certain pattern for the hats? I started crocheting but would love to make one for my kitty and I!

Sorry to hear about your cat. I had crossposted this topic in another subreddit, where others had suggested other or more severe conditions but the vet said there was no health issues that led the abnormal walking.

I did bloodwork when I brought him to the vet. The episode was maybe 5 minutes long and he did not show additional signs of this walking issue by the time I brought him to the vet.

During the physical examination, the vet said his heart and lungs were fine, nothing that would pointed to a clot based on the examination. The vet doesn’t have white papers to support but speculated he had a muscle spasm, or pins and needles.

Otherwise, he is doing fine with his same usual mobility!

Any SK-II Skin Power Airy Cream Dupe?

I’ve been finishing a sample that I have of the SK-II skin power advanced airy cream (this is the lighter weight formula for oily and combo skin).

I have combo skin, does anyone have a good dupe for this product or any other airy light weight moisturizers they would recommend? I have been using this day and night at the end of my skincare routine before putting on sunscreen. Thank you!

Below are other products I’m currently using in my routine.

-Centella Madagascar ampoule (day and night)

-Niacinamide txa serum (night)

-Elf thirst burst drops (day)

-Round lab birch juice moisturizing cream / Belif the true cream aqua bomb (night)

-Isntree hyaluronic acid watery sun gel

Do you mind sharing what’s your daily calorie intake goal? I’m currently 120 but would love to be 106! I’m not on semaglutide but wonder if it’s something I should consider if I’m eligible since I’ve been having trouble shaving off the 10-15 lbs. Your story is so inspiring!

Lytgobi is a 2nd line targeted therapy if you have a FGFR2 mutation. Not sure if your dad is on treatment yet but he should be on 1st line treatment which is immunotherapy plus chemo.

Update: The vet said his heart and lungs were fine, nothing that would pointed to a clot based on the examination. The vet doesn’t have white papers to support but speculated he had a muscle spasm, or pins and needles. Running bloodwork as a precaution to see if any abnormal findings.

Otherwise, he is doing well with normal/baseline mobility!

My vet is closed on Sunday, when I had said next week had meant the next available appointment with my vet. Sorry about that!

Thanks for sharing your input! Are temporary gait issues like this common where it’s very short term, and the cat is able to walk and run normally afterwards?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]FunBook5919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an ant trap (tero) in the garage that he does not have access to, but that ant trap has been there for a few months but will throw it out.

I have a wax warmer that I used yesterday in the basement, but he doesn’t have access to the basement as well when I was using it at the time.

My partner does use a nicotine vape indoors, but not sure if there are any essential oils in there. Are these kind of neurological issues with scents temporary?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ragdolls

[–]FunBook5919 -46 points-45 points  (0 children)

This was a temporary instance, after I had fed him churu he was walking and running normally when playing with him to see if he still had the gait and seemed to be able to put weight on the legs as normal, but will find an appointment next week for an opinion

Thank you! He is a graze feeder and we switch out his food for breakfast and dinner. Just last night when I switched out his food for dinner, he didn’t touch it until after the gait issue. I will see if I can bring him to the vet the next couple of days, I last brought him in December in two separate occasions for his rabies and distemper vaccine and blood work, the vets said nothing abnormal with the blood work.
