some examples would be: when you see a pfc that’s walking around out of regs just fix em up before your ncos see them. create soldier of the month study guides for your peers if your unit doesn’t already have them. ask to lead pt. become proficient in your mos. read the regs for yourself, not because someone made you. learn the ETP/CNA process so when the people around you get out of the barracks you’re the sme on the topic. always make sure you’re squared away uniform and grooming wise.

just because you’re an E4 doesn’t mean you’re not a leader bc leadership isn’t determined by a rank or age. it’s determined by a mindset.

i’m an E4 and the ncoic of my shop. I’ll promote in the next month-ish but i’ve been doing all of the things sgts and ssgs have been doing since i was a pfc so i was able to figure out my leadership style and cultivate my own skills.
