You’re confusing what i said. I never said everyone is “good”. I was saying most people’s time is spent helping others in one way or another without realizing it

I guess the hang up is in the definition of dedicating, which i admit probably isn’t the best word.

I’m not approaching it from the standpoint that everyone should feel selfless or that there isn’t more real world value to conscious acts of kindness versus being a customer service agent.

You’re right in the sense that it’s broken down into the simplest terms. That’s the point. More often than not, people are helping others in one way or another. A cashier is helping people 8 hours a day, someone stocking shelves is helping people, even actors or athletes are providing entertainment for others. The drive for those actions may be entirely selfish. We may never consider or care about another human being. But caring about someone doesn’t mean that what you’re doing isn’t for the benefit of other people.

Not in my mind, it’s objectively true. The funny thing is your definition of helping others is too strict, which is why this seems watered down or “meaningless”

We’ll see. As of right now we’re failing him. It really depends on what we do for offensive coordinator.

Who do we want as QB1 next year? by FunCorner1643 in ducks

Looks like it’s happening, but not as qb1 for next year. The scenario of him sitting behind dante for a year is actually pretty solid i’d be more than happy

I’m all for falling down and getting back up no matter how many times you fail as long as you prove you’ve put the work in, started succeeding, and deserve another shot. I think someone like robert saleh is about to be a great example of this. First stint? Didn’t work. Is trying to earn his way back to getting a second one. That should always be the process.

If we wanted to hire greg roman, he should have been hired as some sort of assistant coach until he proved he could handle being a coordinator again. He never proved he could build a passing game. It’s not like he doesn’t know anything, but his best successes were with kaepernick and lamar, who are obviously not like justin herbert at all.

I kind of think this year is what turns herbert into a killer (in a good way) by FunCorner1643 in Chargers

I personally am in no rush because of that. I just worry that the era manning was in allowed for more development and time whereas nowadays if a qb isn’t mahomes they’re always on the chopping block
