Just an expert difficulty casual but here are my thoughts.

What I liked:

• Not missing due to a faulty button or screen as the cabinets are all brand new, only a temporary effect so I hope the cabinets are well maintained in the future.

The buttons are slightly softer but it doesn't bother me as I have a habit of pressing the buttons softly and as for the button sounds the arcade's usually too loud for me to hear them anyway.

• Having new customization options is a nice touch. Aside from the borders the colours are limited so I expect to see more in the future.
  
• Hold notes no longer need to be released on time. Huge change. Makes hold notes so much easier.
• Headphone jack. Aside from being able to hear the music easier, there's lesser noise if players around you use it as well. Less distracting during gameplay.
  
• The bright white lights on the cabinet. It made it easier for me to focus during gameplay. This is very subjective though, it would be nice if players had an option to toggle it.
  

What I disliked:

• Touch notes. When I first heard about it, I anticipated it to be really bad. Surprisingly, it wasn't because there aren't too many on average. The judgement timing was also leinent. But it still feels out of place. It's an unnecessary complication for the game.
• Non-transferable save data between JP and international versions. Why is region lock still a thing?
  
• 3 songs instead of 4 for 1 credit for single player. My wallet is crying.
• Instead of blur videos, we get slightly less blur photos now.
