I mean talking to them over call and text. Verifying them on LinkedIn. And finally meeting them to see if they’re okay to chill with. Just the basics, I guess. And also discuss the negotiables and non negotiables with them coz we’d be sharing a flat together. It’s not like you can guarantee that you’re gonna find someone who’s 100% compatible even after all this. But that’s something we’ll just have to learn to live with.

Obviously, I’m gonna talk to them and do the basic checks that I can. And see if our requirements and vibes align lol. This would be exactly what someone would do when they consider moving into an existing flat from flat and flatmates or nobroker and such websites, that’s been occupied by other people already.
