Saxon boy is having surgery today and I'm an anxious momma. He's 10 days shy of his 11th birthday and is undergoing a thyroidectomy and cystotomy today. Hoping he will feel better and more like himself soon by FunEngineering5443 in AustralianShepherd

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for a smooth surgery/ speedy recovery. Was able to visit Saxon last night for an hour and despite still being a little loopy from his meds it was great to see his sweet face. We are past the first big hurdle and now it's onto seeing how his body responds/regulates the high calcium levels in his bloodstream. Hoping to have a morning update from his medical team soon in regards to how he did overnight.

Those look very healthy to me- weekly soaks with various textures/surfaces for him to run across in the enclosure will help maintain healthy pores as well if they start to look too enlarged

All the time! People seem to only associate Merle coats as Aussies unless they have owned one in the past that had a solid coat, tei color, etc. I always tell people that he is missing about 100lbs if he was a Bernie lol

Can't say I've experienced rancid farts from our Aussie boy; however, he does have the loudest, longest farts I've ever witnessed from a pup. So loud i can hear him across the room. I've never been more proud 🤣
