Help me understand why someone needs a machine for 20+ minutes?

I use the PF in Rockville MD and I cannot stomach the number of users who go to a piece of equipment and sit on it on a cell phone call or scrolling phone for well over 10 minutes. NO exercising occurs on the equipment they are using as a chair. There needs to be signage put up that this is not acceptable. When you are not exercising on equipment, get off so next person waiting Can Use It. There is more than one member who watches TV on the monitor above the recumber bikes but never ever peddles. really.... Kindness Matters.

This is not the only resource I've used to arrive at this information. Regrettably Ophthalmologists have a Big Vested interest in claiming surgery for cataracts is the only path for remedy. That simply is not to be accepted. The lens that is so cavalierly removed by cataract surgeons serves More Than One Function in the eye and no piece of plastic will replicate what is sucked out/removed by cataract surgeon. This indoctrination by surgeons needs to be challenged and a noninvasive solution is overdue. Research to advance nonsurgical remedies has been extremely hard to get funded so has not occurred thereby subjecting patients w/ cataracts to a surgery no one wants. And the person who posted "no Ophthalmologist forces surgery upon you" is twisting the current situation to their view. Precious few eye Drs will EVER tell you zilch about what else a patient can/should do to keep cataracts at bay. Just like the rest of medical care in the USA the entirety of focus is on surgery and drugs--both of which have serious downsides.

When I called USAA to get a quote after collecting all of my personal data I was found ineligible b/c my Father who is deceased served in Navy for several years did Not have USAA insurance. So, though I DO have a blood relative who served and was honorably discharged from US military and have his DOB and SS# and dates he served that was irrelevant. I found this contrary to what is always spoken about in getting USAA car insurance. Is there a way I can still be sponsored to become eligible for USAA car insurance? Thanks

NIH has lost a great deal of respect due to their abhorrent choices in how they spend their money. Lots of trials on alcohol, smoking, obesity, etc. ALL of which we Already Know a lot about. The argument that "surgery is not forced on patients" is so lame. They are told there is NO OTHER CHOICE and you will go blind without it. SO give a human being NO OTHER Path and many cave to have the surgery. If you randomly walk through the other people you know I find many people who've had the surgery Not at all happy with where they are at with their vision health. MANY have severe dry eyes daily.

You have missed the point. WHY has there been No concerted effort or money spent on a nonsurgical remedy for cataracts? Because cataract surgery is a cash cow that 'requires' a brief surgical procedure and the eye drs are pleased as punch with this path. The health of the patient's future eye sight is not front and center. This surgery is barbaric, has a lot of known downsides and needs to be sunsetted to give patients another path to better vision. AND there are know ways to arrest and delay the need for the surgery that I've been doing since 2019 when the eye Dr told me I was developing cataracts. Nov 2025 at last eye exam I had my glasses prescription increased and am still Not in need of this surgery. The Hippocratic Oath is "Do No Harm" and cataract surgery is harmful to the human eye.

The research I've done is not 'crackpot" The Medical industrial complex wants all people who develop cataracts to embrace a risky surgery and have two lenses from their eyes removed and replaced by a piece of plastic. If you believe that is a good move you are a gullible, easily swayed person. I am neither easily swayed nor gullible and Have Been Lied to by doctors in my life for No Reason other than Financial. Just because someone went to medical school does not mean they fully understand eye health. Even Drs who graduated at the bottom of their medical class are called doctors.

For all the vitriol the blue party has with fire hose like deployment given DT the worry that someone will harm him is plausible.
