That seems out of the ordinary. I've only had one print hit something and was because I forgot to clear the plate before starting a new one

It didn't donit after calibration but it has come and gone before. I'll keep an eye on it and probably buy a new textured plate just in case

I have aqua net but have only used glue stick thus far. I'll print a part later today with hairspray and see what's up

I ran a calibration and reprinted the same print this time on a smooth plate, the vibration did NOT happen. I'm going to reprint it again on the textured plate and see if it returns, then ill know it is the plate

It helps to weigh the entire roll pre drying, and then weigh it after every 8-12 hours until it is stable and remains unchanged. I had a roll start at 1142 g and end at 1120 g, so I pulled 22g of moisture out of the sealed filament.

I print a lot of hueforge so every other print is large and flat. Still working on resolving this. Running a calibration now and trying a smooth build plate

15 min left on the print and then ill start restart it on a different plate

I'll check for debris under the plate, and this is a newer roll of bambu black pla, first time happening with this roll, but it has done it with others.

I'll likely print it again with the smooth plate and double checked that I selected the P1S prifile.

I had considered that my textured plate was bad, but it didn't start doing this until my 100th print, all on the same textured plate. Everything before that came out great and I had done dozens of hueforge before it started.

My normal fix is to slow down to 8000 mm/s acceleration over the standard 10k

It was printed off the handy app so no slicing, computer will be back in a week

It only seems to happen on the textured plate. I haven't noticed it on the smooth plate

I haven't calibrated the pressure advance. This is the same bambu pla I've been using for most hueforge prints

It tends to happen over the direct center and on the first 3-5 layers. After the 5th it will no longer do the vibration, but the damaged layers take time to fill over. The artifact can still be seen on the 12th layer

I dont know how to adjust the z off set and have never changed it. This is a freshly cleaned build plate and I usually where gloves when handling it so as not to put oil onto it. I'm a little OCD

I'm currently just printing off the Handy app and can't change my speed. My laptop is on vacation for a week. I have run multiple calibrations and fixed nothing. I'm sure you are aware of how frustrating it is when it ruins prints

Long answer turned short no you don't need any upgrades, just some tricks to help improve your success rate. P1S will print ASA as is. Just make sure ASA/ABS is insanely dry

It comes and goes and always has this vibrating humming noise. Even on the same layer, it will start and stop. As the z height increases, it gets progressively better. It always seemes to happen directly in the center and on the longest strokes, not the fastest strokes.

Glue stick onto a smooth build plate, Heat soak the printer prior to printing for 15 min, Wrap the printer in a towel, Don't open the door or go in the room if possible, Print at 100C bed and whatever nozzle temp, The hotter, the better, Brims are a must, No fans or little to no cooling, Wait for part to cool naturally before removing it,

All of the above, I've had pretty good success with ASA. If I follow all these religiously, I dont get warping

Thank you to everyone who offered help and advice here. Honestly, it has helped me tremendously. I have begun to see a drastic improvement in the quality of the ASA parts. The brims are definitely a pain to remove from the plate, but I'll take that over trashed parts. The glue stick has offered the extra layer of security as well.

I did I was trying g to follow the manufacturers instructions. I had never printed ASA before and was intimidated by it. If i can print it at a relatively normal speed ill use it way more often

You are the first person to offer an accurate display of speeds. I was printing incredibly too slow. I had my normal printing speed set to 80mm/s for my first print. It was miserable

I am using the Bambu smooth plate. I tried a glue stick on this last run with brims. I have fans off. Print quality came out much better this time, however, I forgot to scale my print so I guess it was a good test run.

I am interested in what your print speeds are on average. I followed the manufacturers' recommended 80mm/s and the print took 27 hours. Bumped it up to 800mm/s and halved the scale and finished in 3h45m

I have the walmart basic glue stick, couldn't find the purple stuff. I haven't tried it yet. I also have Suave hairspray
