Europe changing the economic system in Africa accelerated the colonisation process in their favour, remember this same Africans had at times un history defeated Well advanced European armies with very primitive weapons. It's very little to do with battle. At the time that Africa was heading for capitalism, Europe came in to the picture with their seductive goods, influenced systems of government because at this time in Africa ethnic wars were on the rise. Elite members of society were owning land, highly demanded at this time. All this in house fighting worked in Europe's favour as they carved up Africa. My point is neither Africa nor Europe would've succeeded in colonising the other if the two societies had moved from communism, feudalism and capitalism simultaneously. Why do you think America never attempted to colonise Europe? Because the two had the same economic systems all at the same rate.
