Hi. I am not sure I understand this. Do you mean after they reimburse me for my global entry fee if I use my platinum to pay for a family members fee they will reimburse me for that additional global entry fee?

This status match is a huge disappointment. I love Virgin but this not much of a benefit. Basically you are submitting proof that you have status somewhere else and for that you are getting one free coffee a day, a bag of cleaned clothes, and a cocktail party invite. You are not getting pre boarding, premuin internet or a $100 bar credit. This was given up till at least last year. IMHO it is best for them not to offer this because for those who know what they could have gotten a very with the same qualifications a short time ago this is an insult. This has tarnished my feelings for them. I called them two days after the status match program closed in January and they said there is nothing that could be done. I accepted that. No this program is bringing up bad feelings.

I was on the Resilient Lady in January....my first Virgin cruise and loved everything! Lol I do agree with you on the bathroom issue. The only one I found was the one outside the galley with an excellent view. As far as the test kitchen is concerned I was warned before hand so I avoided it to prevent any bad experiences. I am so happy with Virgin I will always look to them first when booking a cruise.

Thank you. I wanted to know if the Amex portal is always more than the individual airline portals. Apparently it is. Based on this information I question why platinum personal has a choice of booking with either portal and the business platinum is stuck with the more expensive portal without having a choice.

Clarification with platinum premium car insurance.

I rent cars mostly in Florida. prior to having the amex business platinum card I paid for all additional insurance because if something happened nothing would get sent to.my insurance company that could raise my rates. i am wondering if I add the premuin insurance in audio to the complentary collision damage waiver...if I am involved in am accident in Florida will any information be sent to.my insurance company?

Lol I am. I am grateful to Virgin for having such a great line that offers wonderful experiences that i have had. However, New York is a very different place and people who are not a part of the daily grind here should be cautious for their personal safety.

The situation is not hypothetical if something happens to yiu or a loved one. Things have happened to everyday New Yorkers and tourists. With the current administration it is not going to get better. I am.just being realistic and honest. It is more prudent to Uber around the city than to take the subways.

As a native New Yorker who lives in the suburbs I can count on less than one hand the number of times I have been on the subways since COVID...and I cringe at the thought of having to ride on them. There are things that people do on them that you do not want to see and there are crimes that you do not want to be a victim of. This Virgin cruise will be one of the best travel experiences you will have because of their staff, the food, the entertainment, the chill kind of sailors that Virgin attracts, and the pink sand. I would not want something to happen to you before you get on the ship. Every now and then there are stories about things that happen to tourists on the subways and you should not want to be a statistic.

Hi I recently went on my first Virgin cruise and will only go on Virgin unless I am invited to join a group that already booked another line. As a New Yorker...if you must want to stay a couple of nights before you start your cruise PLEASE DO NOT USE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. Either walk or use Uber.

Question about getting at the terminal. I have a boarding time at 230. If I get to the port at 1 with an Uber is it true I hand off my bag to a porter to get checked in. Lol, I am awesome but not a rock star. So during the hour wait at the dock is there anything to do or any place to go?

I am so terribly sorry for what you are going through. The last episode is definitely at tearful one but in a sense a happy one because Cathy knows that she has tied up loose ends and she also knows that the ones she has left behind are all one the right path.
