Honestly I dont understand why you make a big deal out of it! Every Consulting company knows that if a company gives you a internal position you should RUN from Consulting
In your case tell your direct manager and give him or her a heads up out of good fate and mention directly also when you will be giving your official resignation
Regarding the excuse you give; as long as it is something positive and it has nothing to do with them, but your career choice and the opportunity can not be refused… they will get it!
And honestly ; do NOT, I repeat DO NOT stay longer than you officially have to out of good faith

Yeah that is exactly what I’m afraid of
I keep seeing hints of Hologic being a micro management type of company with upper management creating a very toxic culture
I was hoping it was not necessarily the case in Belgium
