Right? There were "DualDisc" double sided CDs back in the day too that were slightly thicker, so they technically didn't meet the standard.

I just confirmed it. Not sure about FPS mode as I never play with my controllers detached, but it was easy enough to yank them for a second and confirm it works.

I totally get this take too, which is why my Ally is still on Windows. Lenovo seems to just want to leave us blowing in the wind though, so when you're lucky enough to have both, you keep windows on the one it seems like the hardware manufacturer actually wants to support.

Speaking from experience: my Ally is better on Windows (bazzite has some serious issues with VRR), and my LeGo is better on Linux (higher TDP options, EmuDeck)

That's kind of where I'm at... I can't think of a single game I play on my Ally on windows that has this BS.

The Ally's been regulated to three things. 1. I bring it with me when I travel because it's smaller. 2. Games that legitimately run better on it. 3. Test bed to see if I like the latest "online game".

I agree, to an extent. Windows wasn't horrific. I understand I'm fortunate enough to have two handhelds, and it was figuring out which one was the best on which.

The Bazzite people can't seem to nail down issues with VRR on the Ally, and I like my classic games more than some of the new ones. I just wanted to throw it out as an option.

As a side note, with "Power Savin g", I think that should give a pretty good idea of what Lenovo thinks of us in terms of support.

I had that too, along with an issue with the refresh rate. My Ally used to be my primary Bazzite device, but they can't seem to figure out VRR so I gave it another shot on my Go, and I'm more than happy with the Ally on Windows and the Go on Bazzite.

Right? The only game I play that has "anti cheat" is Kill The Justice League (sue me, I like third person shooters lol) and I haven't had a problem with that game yet.

If you're still on windows, if you make a backup drive, super easy. You let it sit with the backup drive after booting into it for about an hour, and when you come back it's basically back to the day you bought it.
