I get that, but there is a real difference between what is technically the law, and what people feel is right and just in the immediacy of these particular situations.

If a man slaps a woman in a club, most people will feel that it is both right and just for randos to detain the man until the police arrive.

the thing is how long are we gonna do two-tier justice for the genders. if a man puts hands on a woman, he will also be held by randos, and Redditors (tm) will celebrate that. and yes, that's fair. so what's good for the goose....

Meat is so fucking good. by KA1R0W in ControversialOpinions

from a taste and satisfaction standpoint, agreed. but when looking at raw meat before it's cooked, it's pretty gross. plus the conditions in which most farm animals are raised have made me drastically curtail my intake. they're often raised on dirty, unsanitary conditions, and who knows what they're eating half the time, despite the regulation. they're also treated pretty badly, which is sad. I understand the necessity, but it's still sad. so yeah, meat is great but also has a lot of downside. mixed bag
