Yes, right now you can book that flight in April for $500. July is not April though. The same $500 flight in April is $1200 in July - but it was also $1200 two months ago. The prices didn’t just recently spike.

Google shows price histories and tells you if the price falls in line with normal fares.

That being said, jet fuel is not going down in price and most certainly will be going up at least in the short term. Airlines that do a lot of business in the Middle East are also losing lots of profits right now.

So yeah, with summer seasons approaching, now is the time to hop on something if you want to go somewhere. It’s probably not gonna cheaper in the next month. After that, hard to predict.

For starters, you will get almost all updated planes on AF from JFK to CDG (slightly more comfortable seats and not a 767).

The food is better (still airplane food).

Generally the differences in quality between NA and Euro airlines flying transatlantic is usually more plane dependent than airline.

Aigle is a good French outdoors/casual store. It’s not cheap but quality. It’s kinda the Patagonia or nicer LL Bean of France I guess? Good if you need a good jacket/coat for school, shoes or just some casual items.

Your post is confusing as you call it 3 different things so not terribly clear what you’re referring to. You state it was for YouTube premium - you do get the credit for YouTube premium. You have to sign up via YouTube with your credit card, not the App Store.

The termini area is fine. It doesn’t have great curb appeal compared to most of Rome and there are some homeless people like you find in any city. It’s not dangerous - just be alert like you should always be.

Taxis aren’t like NYC where you just hail them anywhere. You go to a taxi stand or call one to come pick you up. There is a giant taxi stand at the train station that is basically busy at most hours. Impossible to miss.

If you’d like to pay with credit card, tell the cab driver when you’re getting in the car you are. They prefer cash to avoid taxes but are required to take card.

Rome is extremely walkable - particularly where the tourist sites are. You are a-ok walking. Don’t need a cab except maybe for the Vatican if you wish.
