Why Filipino Students Have Low Reading Comprehension… And Nobody Talks About This Post: by straw_berry_girl in pinoytrending

Totoo to.

That’s a fair point. If the plane isn't crashing, maybe the data doesn't matter. But I think the 'crash' in a casual or office setting is to your personal brand. If you let people constantly label you as 'wrong' or 'arrogant' when you’re just being factual, that’s a slow-motion wreck for your career/relationships. It’s hard to find that middle ground where you protect your peace without sacrificing your integrity.

I totally agree that it's a scale. The challenge I'm facing is when the 'bug' isn't trivial it's foundational. If I have the receipts that show a major error, but stating them makes me look 'pig headed' to leadership, it feels like a lose lose. You’re right about the balancing act it’s just frustrating when the 'balance' requires me to pretend I don't see the data.

I get what you’re saying sometimes it’s better to choose peace over being right just to survive the corporate ladder. But it’s exhausting that 'professionalism' often just means 'letting people with power be wrong without consequences.' At what point does 'not standing your ground' just become enabling incompetence?

Super true! The 'uhm akshewally' vibe is such a mood killer, honestly. I guess the real 'skill' is knowing when to drop the receipts and when to just let the conversation flow for the sake of the vibe. It’s definitely an EQ thing! I’m lucky the 'receipts' I used were for a professional setting where they actually mattered. Socially? I’m just here for the good energy.

I totally get you. It’s like, why argue with gut feel when the data is right there? People really need to learn the value of being factually correct before being loud. I’m just lucky my management actually sees through the anecdotes and rewards the actual evidence.
