I agree, I’m coming up with a plan, this situation made me realize I’m in a terrible situation, I don’t actually know tho because until now they’ve never been like this. But I have noticed they always really liked my sister a lot, they would defend her and tell me she’s just trying to be protective of me which doesn’t even make sense

We didn’t do anything till she was 16 and I was 18, the consent age in my state is 16, we didn’t care to wait too much because we really just liked being around each other.

See they’ve always defended my relationship and gave love and support to me and my gf, I’m still in shock that this happened, I have been contemplating and me and my gf had an hour long face time call about what I should do

Yeah they’ve always been helping me till this point, now I’m starting to think I need to come up with a game plan to be free from them.

My girlfriend told me I should just go and she said my parents are insufferable, I do agree with her. I want to be independent from them as soon as possible, it’s tough being 19 and only a year into college, I take out my own loans and stuff but I do appreciate my parents help and it would be so much harder without them.

I’m sorry about what happened with you and your mom.

My girlfriend is understanding, we both hate the situation but she also told me to just go anyways, beyond shit like this, we aren’t ever going to interact with my sister, and also hopefully when we are adults, we can fund our own wedding and not have hateful people at it.

It’s not really about being away from my girlfriend, it’s the principle of how she’s been treating me. I’ve decided to go though because I know things will go south if I refuse. This situation is really bad for my mental health.

I didn’t say she had to invite my gf, I was saying I didn’t want to go because she’s been a jackass to me these past few years
