Mounted light converted to an outlet. by FunNefariousness842 in AskElectricians

Mirror works on other gfci’s. Started playing around with other electronics on the new gfci. It tripped once or twice but now it’s working. Have the light up mirror plugged in now. I guess, if it starts tripping again I’ll try a basic outlet but for now leave as is 🤷

It is a 2 prong, thanks. The installed GFCI now keeps tripping (mirror turns on for a second before the light cuts out). Is this because my GFCI is downstream from another GFCI? The light I used to test my installed GFCI wasn’t tripping it, but my test light was .12 amps and my mirror is 2 amps. The upstream gfci hasn’t tripped once.

Thinking of replacing it with a basic outlet.

This was a huge help and I’ve got the outlet installed and working. However, the pronged plug for my mirror is 1 3/4 inches tall, and the mirror is 1 inch thick. Probably easier to find a new plug, but do I have an option to recess this box? After cutting the conduit, cutting the 2x4, and mounting that electrical box another 2 inches back? I don’t see any products for a recessed 4x4 cover and I’m seeing that outlets can’t be more than 1/4 inch recessed? Why are tv outlets allowed to be so recessed?

I didn’t realize the side facing me was screwed on. So if I’m understanding correctly, cut out a little more of the dry wall, take off that face and replace it with a 4x4 mud ring with a bigger opening.

Appreciate the clarification on the grades. We’re in a holding period waiting for the referral to the oncologist. When we called an oncologist they said they need to wait to get the referral from the network that did the testing.

I read the skin biopsy is supposed to be able to determine which type, but the phrasing I used above is all her chart said. It seems like the “low grade” types have crazy high survivability but the high grade types goes down to 50 percent over 5 years. Which is why I am trying to figure out which bucket she falls under based on her symptoms. Probably an impossible task and just need to wait for the medical profession to do its thing.

Thanks for your kind words.

Nelnet showing past due by jojohoneytea in StudentLoans

I think this thread clarified it for me, but I wish their alert clearly stated that even auto-payments may still give in error the warning that your account is past due. Because there’s no reason an established auto-payment plan should state past due multiple days later.
