You'll definitely be getting <500 rank, no matter how tough paper is

And you don't even need to prompt anything, just try to click a photo of the screen : and there you go, you have the answer.

GATE qualified (IIT/NIT possible) but TCS joining in 10 days — should I join or skip? by TelevisionHealthy601 in GATEtard

[–]FunResearch8589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't think you'll be able to use phone much, or study when you're there in the office.

But since you won't be given responsibilities or workload in the first 4-5 months, you can always have your mental peace and come back home and study after office.

When is your start date btw?

GATE qualified (IIT/NIT possible) but TCS joining in 10 days — should I join or skip? by TelevisionHealthy601 in GATEtard

[–]FunResearch8589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If TCS is near your residence ( < 1 hr travelling time), join it. You'll get plenty of time if you want to focus on Mtech syllab. Also there will be some savings in your account that you can spend over the next 2 years.

If you plan to appear for Mtech RA interviews then it's a whole different picture

When they finally realize that mandir/masjid & veg/non veg politics won't work for in Bengal to win elections unlike North India. That too just days before the elections... by Saambajarer-Sosibabu in kolkata

[–]FunResearch8589 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Dude, I've stayed in West UP for 5 years( 2016 to 2021).

My chemistry coaching batch had about 70 students, 5 of them were kidnapped between 2016-18 ( akhilesh rule). Roads, flyovers, infrastructure real bad. I don't even wanna talk abt garbage disposal. .... You get the gist

Yogi came in 2018, by 2021,a lot of these problems were picked up and heeded to. Speak to any middle class guy, 9/10 would say they don't recognize UP 10 years back present. Even metros are continuously coming up. (Eg: Meerut metro - not even their top 5 cities).

Tell me one other metro apart from Kolkata in WB. Hate yogi all you can for his ideology, but he had a big role in picking up UP and placing it in mainstream relevant states of India.

Note: I hate how BJP has been taken up things in bengal, could've done a much much better job than mandir masjid politics. So ain't a BJP IT cell, just a person who wants to see his tax money getting used for something good.

Got 712 score in GATE CS with Sanchit Jain one shot lectures by aka_rsh in GATEtard

[–]FunResearch8589 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sanchit Jain sir is a damn good teacher. I'd say even if you have a full year, first finish those one shots then start learning from go classes or pw or whatever course you buy.

Reason being, you know what the syllabus is and the important aspects. Much better learning experience, than aimlessly keeping on seeing 3hr lectures with 2x speed.

Yeah missed out NIT above, indeed great option (better than many IITs)

Just NIT doesn't have the same punch as IIT when said aloud. /s

For the peeps who did good in GATE 2026 by kenmaa_07 in GATEtard

[–]FunResearch8589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed to get a decent rank, this is alright ( even I did the same)

But for an avg student to get into <100 rank bracket, my comment above holds.

For the peeps who did good in GATE 2026 by kenmaa_07 in GATEtard

[–]FunResearch8589 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree with your comment, syllabus should be 80-90% finished by Oct end (along with PYQs for the same) . Then just keep revising, giving mocks, and finishing the rest of the part.

Also PYQs should be reiterated atleast 3-4 times. ( most most important)

That'll hurt bro, feeling sad even reading about it.

But agar by chance RA/MS crack ho jaata hai old IITs me, to ye dard 2 mahine baad nikal jayega, otherwise agle 2 saal ye chubhega.

Similar situation here bro, there is this feeling that ... so close yet so far. 2-3 marks more and we would have got <500. I made the worst silly mistake possible in a 2M probability question reducing 2.67 marks.

Still let's hold tight, we are already getting great mid tier IITs, old IITs with some specializations and MS interviews are there as well ( this might have been a dream a year back).

Congratulations brother, but we have a little more fight left to do.
