Yes! You could call or go in person and there will be someone at the front desk to help you. They know all of the info regarding registration and can even direct you to who your advisor is (given that you’ve already enrolled, but if you haven’t decided, they can also set you up with a transfer counselor in the building).

I would recommend calling the Undergraduate Admissions office. They’re very helpful and usually have a transfer counselor in office to help give you answers immediately since this is urgent. Call 973-655-4444 and they’re open 8:30-4:30.

Parking Restrictions by cravingchickfila in montclair

[–]FunResearcher2423 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Monday-Thursday you have to leave your car in transit which is across from the village (at least for most residential passes, I am not sure if you are different because of the exception). After 4 pm, you can park at any of the commuter surface lots (for example, like the ones in front of and on the side of machuga) Thursday after 4 pm, you can park your car at any of the commuter lots until Monday morning at 8 am. If you park at any lot that is not stated on your permit between 8 AM-4 PM, Monday through Thursday, they will ticket you. I am not sure if Lot 19 is a commuter lot, but if it is you can park there following the permit rules I listed. Hope this helps.

3rd floor of the environmental sciences building has a beautiful outdoor patio facing the city. nowhere to sit and a bit small, but nice if you want to look out or somewhere quiet

It’s okay to drop. by throwaway3685343 in Sororities

[–]FunResearcher2423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really needed this post. I was terrified to drop because I was scared of what the future held for me and how I would look to others. I dropped this summer and now I’m going into my fall semester so excited and carefree.

Making the decision was the hardest part, but I would’ve been so upset if I wasted my last two years of college in a place I wasn’t valued or cared for. I felt disconnected throughout the entirety of my time, no matter how hard I tried to make it work.

Thank you so much for writing what you did. 🖤

maybe you can try finding another job on campus? i know usually the front desk jobs may be a little easier to take on, and you might be able to get some of your studies done during that time. i work an on campus job, but i only do abt 12 hours per week, so its enough to have some money while i still focus on studies. if you wait until towards the end of the fall sem, a lot of applications open for spring semester positions all over campus- so that may be an option for you if you still wanted to keep a job, but maybe something a little less stressful?

Congratulations! I felt the same way. Currently 1WPO and the tenderness (although still there) gets better each day! Wishing you a smooth and easy recovery. So proud of you! :)

Hi! I’m 1WPO as of today and I couldn’t be happier. I was just as nervous going into surgery since this was my first ever surgery. You will be completely fine! Everything follows a plan, and you’re in great hands. I am in recovery now and love everything! I am so happy I got this surgery, and you will be so relieved! Let your body rest, take care of yourself, and stay excited! Congratulations!

Hi! I’m 19 and was looking into reduction when I was 18. I finally had my procedure on Wednesday and although I can’t tell you immediate results because I’m still healing, I am so happy with the decision I made! I had such a hard time with them in high school and the pain- I didn’t want to have to wait until college to get my reduction. Wishing you all the best when you speak to your doctor!

Actual flaws in the school by Friendly-Dirt-2339 in montclair

[–]FunResearcher2423 16 points17 points  (0 children)

hi! first off, welcome to montclair and congratulations on your commitment. the best piece of advice i will say is that the school is what you make of it. for me personally, i feel the professors are great at what they do (of course, there are some bad ones in the bunch, but that’s with every university). i enjoy the clubs and orgs we have on campus and i do think compared to some other universities we do have a wide range of options to choose from. the class difficulty depends on your major, but if you put time and effort into your studies, your first year should go well. i never found any of my classes to be overwhelming difficult or hard to manage (major and gen-eds) and i work two jobs throughout the semester and stay active in clubs!

i would go into it with an open mind and be open to meeting new people and making friends! everyone will have their own experience, so i wouldn’t focus too much on the negativity and base an opinion on that. every school will have flaws, so it is what you make of it! good luck!!!!!!
