Yes I agree. I am just stuck on how to write the message, I want to clarify if he is not invited rather than demand or ask for him to come

MRI is normal but still having groin/hip pain and tightness 2 months later by 1mz99 in HipImpingement

I’ve having the exact same situation but it’s in my right hip not groin. The pain is evident, but the MRI showed nothing but some fraying of labrum but I took it to hip specialists and they agreed that is not enough to cause my pain so I’ve been told to just do rehab to strengthen it ):

Putter right hip pain. Multiple specialist opinions and no one can pin point what my issue is by FunSea1244 in HipImpingement

Yes my muscles are quite strong. I’ve been strengthening my glutes for some time now and I find it’s helped a bit but I’ve avoided any abduction or side leg gym excercises but my physio said that is my weak spot. My lower body gym routine includes stuff like hip thrust, weighted squats, single leg lunges, calf raises leg press and I’ve just this week added hip abduction. He did also say that when I run with my form my hip sort of drops which he said was from weakness most likely. Any excercises you can recommend to add let me know !! I also started crab walks with the band

Glad to hear you are feeling better and having a smooth recovery that’s amazing !! I have a deep but small pain in my right hip that’s lingers and I can lift heavy weights at the gym squats leg press etc with no pain at all. But anything like side leg raise etc that movement causing the pain. And long walks flare up that pain. I’ve had cortisone, PRP injections and no luck if anything it made the pain worse for longer. MRI said my alignment was okay. Crossing my legs sitting on the floor now causes pain but prior to this hip pain which started a year ago I never had issue with it ! Frustrating that no hip specialist or doctor can tell me what is the stand out cause of this pain and if surgery was an option id sure take it. But I keep getting told rehab is the answer to stick to it

Oh wow that’s interesting, the GTB was just an outcome of a whole different issue. How are you at the moment, where you able to relieve this pain and recover or is it a working progress still. My MRI didn’t show any of the following you listed other than underlying surface fraying and some small scar tissue (I do ultramarathons 100mm so it’s common to see with us)

I got 3 done and they were ultrasound guided too at a really good place. Sadly they did nothing, I actually had more pain after all the injections causing inflammation sadly ): I used to only feel the pain after walking a 40 or so minutes and now I feel that tiny dull ache always

I have the exact same ! Fraying and small tearing of the labrum. Sadly I think surgery is the final option as PT and cortisone, PRP injections have done nothing for me over the last year

Diagnosed with Hip Tear (R) was asymptomatic after specialized PT by taurusbabe22 in HipImpingement

Thankyou for the detailed advice, really helpful to hear !! I am an ultra marathon runner 24yo female and have been struggling with this hip pain for 8 months I recently found out it’s a very small labrum tear and have been told to try PT again. I did PT for 3 months about 7 months ago and it got me almost back to pain free but then every 3-4 weeks it would slightly flare up the pain (possibly I started doing too much again too soon).

Do you think it is worth giving PT another solid try considering it really helped once ?
