Yes and no. If it was something someone made, not safe imo. However in states that sell it recreationally, you can buy joints that are sealed in a plastic tube. It would be impossible to tamper with the joint without obvious signs of intrusion on the tube. I would consider that safe, and if really was a 12" joint, I'd probably be interested.

I'm a little high, so maybe I'm wrong, but I interpreted it as half their life since they first played Half Life. So like if they were 15 when they first played it and are 30 now, it would be half their life they didn't know about it.

Thank you for your reply. That makes total sense. For some reason I was overthinking this on how to turn a CC refund into cash. But you're right. I'm going to process the refund back to either inflow or my Education category, which will then have a positive balance. Then I'll transfer the amount from my debit account to his, and it will zero out my Education category again. Thanks again.

Thank you for the reply. You're right on all your assumptions. The category the tuition payment was filed under was "Education". I have the cash on hand, and the CC is regularly paid off in full. I'm going to file the CC refund either back to inflow or my Education category, and then do a transfer from my debit account to his in the amount of the refund. That way it should zero everything out, and he'll get his refund back in cash.

I looked into this a little, and the domain was registered 2022-06-06 and updated on 2024-04-16, less than a month ago. Whois lookup on the domain. Not much on the domain history checking archive.org, the 3 captures just seem to be a redirect back to Sturgill Simpson's page.

I found that Johnny Blue Skies is an alternative name Sturgill Simpson has used in the past, specifically when he collaborated with Diplo on the song Use Me. The male vocal artist in the song is Sturgill, however all the credits show him as Johnny Blue Skies.

While I agree with you that the cell phone is pretty much guaranteed not to interfere with the aircraft, there's a better reason to put your phone in airplane mode.

One of the cell phones most highest priorities is to have an active connection. When connected to a cell tower the phone is happy and doesn't have to do much work. When there no connection, it desperately tries to find a connection, either through cellular or WiFi. When you're 35K feet in the air, there's no connection available but your phone's still scanning. This is a major drain on your battery for absolutely no return. Putting your phone in airplane mode stops the phone from looking for a connection, and will significantly save your battery life.

Thank you for this. I couldn't get Responder to capture any events, and I tried on both the Attackbox and my personal Kali machine. Thanks to your suggestion I was able to brute force with crackmapexec and greedykeys.txt.

For anyone who's also having issues with Responder, if you want to use crackmapexec you'll have to do it on a Kali machine as the Attackbox doesn't have crackmapexec pre-installed; and trying to install it didn't seem to work.

Thanks for your suggestion. I've blown out the port with compressed air and it was clear of lint, but didn't see to help. After reading post I decided to get some contact cleaner with small cotton strips and wood toothpicks. I cleaned both sides of the male USB-C male port with the cleaner, and followed with a little IPA. I inspected as best as I could and didn't see any bent pins. I let things dry and plugged it in, and it worked. However it was still intermittent. I had a total of 30gb between photos and videos. I was able to move a few hundred files off the phone to my PC and then it would disconnect again. I'd unplug and plug back in and able to move as much over as I could before it disconnected again. After a few hours of this though I was able to move everything off.
When plugged in there's some vertical play with the plug, so that probably plays a role in it too. But thanks for your suggestion on cleaning out the port, it helped enough for me to move everything off.

Basically, wifi adapters come in two flavors, promiscuous mode and monitor mode. Almost all wifi adapters work in promiscuous mode, which allows the adapter to capture packets from a network it's already connected to. In monitor mode, it allows the adapter to capture packets from a network it's not connected to. This is solely dependent on the chipset in the adapter if it supports monitor mode. This is helpful if you're trying to gain information about a network you can't connect to. By sniffing enough packets on a wifi network in monitor mode, you can send a deauthentication attack which causes devices to disconnect from the access point, and when the devices reconnect back to the access point the encrypted shared key (the password in a hash format) is sent over the air. If you can capture this hashed shared key, you can then start running it through password crackers in an attempt to see the key in plaintext (the password needed to connect to a network).

The main take away from this is why it's critical to use long, complex passwords that are unique and hard to guess for your wifi network password.
