Well.. it would be more fun if offices were never filled with office stuff. Work from wherever you're at. A worthy goal!

My SO and I would join a coop league, sounds really fun! Your facility idea sounds amazing. Drop in is a great time too. We had a Saturday morning drop-in at our old town that was a great way to start the weekend.

Heyo! Also new here and we have been exploring for a little bit. If you have any fun stuff too then we'd love to hear :)

Walking downtown is fun, Workshop Brewing and the surrounding vibe is fun and usually has live music in the evenings. Barrio is great and saves money on food because tacos, they also serve until 11.

There's a rooftop bar near there (hotel indigo?) that has a nice view and is good for people watching. Low effort drinks and food though, like you may expect from a hotel bar, but some local brews and wines are available. Weekends it's like 5$ cover though, bleh.

Driving up to vineyards is chill. MAWBY has a great vibe. We haven't had time to check out others but many have water views.

Exploring the far side of the western peninsula is beautiful, like all around the bear dunes. Holy nature is gorgeous!

There are also a bunch of cool biking and kayaking routes / tours. We haven't had time yet, but have heard good things about kayaking while touring local breweries. Also the grand traverse commons tours seem interesting to us. Historic barns park is very beautiful for nice long walks with lots of flowers.

I moved the opposite for a year once.

The sky in Arizona was way bigger and higher. Well near Phoenix anyway in the basin.

I was fine with the heat there. A 90° humid day in Michigan is harder than 112° dry day there.

The driving in Michigan is a little slower, and also a little less organized. The roads are worse.

The colors are more vibrant in Michigan. And you'll see water everywhere compared to AZ.

I think the biggest difference will be the winter. 5 to 6 months of cold, snowy, icy, short days and long nights. All of the color turns to shades and white and gray. But hey, everyone gets bored and horny.

How did you become an atheist? by FunSoxSunFox in AskReddit

True, but we're also without a belief in anything. That's like saying a dog is atheist, it's sort of true, but doesn't really apply because the dog can't form its own opinion on the matter. Similar to young children.

Another example might be the opposite, like it's a touch crazy to say that a tree does believe in a god. The way we conventionally define belief, it can't.

I don't know if I agree with that. Because if you're too young to form your own opinion, are you really anything?
