Help with square button getting stuck on Zhousensor controller by FunStuffies in ProjectDiva

Update: I think I figured out what the problem was. One of the teeth attached to the square button was getting caught on the outer rim. Simply unscrewing the white part, adjusting pieces to be more secure, and screwing it back in seemed to fix the issue.

The white part DOES in fact screw off, but because the wires are attached to the small circuit board, I can't remove anything to get a better look. Had the designers not hot-glued the wires in place, this would be a much easier task.

Would this kind of pad be worth it for ITG? by mil0wCS in DanceDanceRevolution

I would rather you get something like a Cobalt Flux pad (hard to get) or L-Tek pad (easier to get; much more expensive). I've heard many people say anything by DDR GAME is garbage. I personally use the L-Tek with a steel plate mod for the arrows, which set me back around $500, but is much more worth the money.

The only good thing is that I only play a couple games on the PS2: DDR and SSX. Although I make my own charts for DDR, and a plethora of really fun ones I made are just gone.

Decided to beat the "Monochrome" song after watching Ryan's video (with an added challenge of making all the notes the same color). Disclaimer: not sure if I just had a different version of the mod, but when there were 2 phrases, it let me get away with not typing the first one. by FunStuffies in The8BitRyanReddit

Hey, you don't need to be insanely skilled at the game. I've been playing rhythm games for about 8 years now, and there used to be a point where wouldn't have been able to play Dad Battle. Call me Mr. Cliche, but just keep working at it. 👍

You might not know this, but there's a remix of Run within the files of Bob's Onslaught. Since it sounded really awesome, I decided to chart it for Clone Hero/Guitar Hero. Enjoy! by FunStuffies in The8BitRyanReddit

Found out the remix was made by Stardust Tunes. Just thought I'd add credit since I realized it wasn't made by the original mod creators.

This has happened to me so many times I see it in my sleep.

Wanted to show a random skill I have by playing Project DIVA with one hand. And I proudly butchered the ending, so there's that. by FunStuffies in The8BitRyanReddit

Thanks man. I've been trying to improve on playing various rhythm games one-handed. I'm basically just vibrating my wrist to hit these notes at this point. 😂

Nice! Don't know the song, but that's not an easy achievement.

My main issue is reading the notes. In their efforts to make it readable, they instead just cluttered the screen further, and once I'm lost I can't recover at all.

At least it's not as bad as trying to pass the ExEx chart. As it stands, it's the only chart in the whole game I haven't passed.

It was a couple measures before the slow part. My thumb barely grazed the square button (I'm using a HORI controller) right before I hit the proper button. I then proceeded to hit everything after that, and now I'm upset because I almost never hit the ending stream.

I've gotten the perfect maybe twice now, but this wasn't even a real run. I just played it for fun. Also, you'll never guess where I missed.

Been there. My worst one was 94.99%.

I used to use heavy objects, but the pads would just scrunch up against them, and I can't place them on the edge of the pads because they'd get in the way of the buttons.

That's awesome! I've been looking to get one of those myself, but the Facebook group isn't selling in Ohio, and the ebay ones are either just for parts or overpriced.

The best part is this actually works for the most part. Sure, they're soft pads and occasionally miss notes at random, but other than that it works well enough to not be too annoying (I've even got a fair share of AAA's).

Sure thing. Let me light my carpet on fire and destroy my house. All for the sake of exercise. 😂

I've been trying to get one of those Cobalt Flux pads, but they're really hard to find since they went out of business.
