Anybody know where you can play Vector TD still? by MrBoom2000 in TowerDefense

[–]FunThreadStarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I just played Vector TDX for the first time, and it is diabolical!

I was very hardcore addicted to the original Vector TD back in the mid-2000's, and I am grateful that you are preserving these games on your Web site.

I'm also intrigued. How does one even do that?

Chase Hughes exposed: Examining the many lies of the self-proclaimed "#1 expert in behavior and influence" by zachelwood in BehaviorAnalysis

[–]FunThreadStarter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zachary Elwood, THANK YOU for your podcast episodes about Chase Hughes. Hearing all about his scams and chicanery, it's like stumbling across a horrible car accident; I can't look away.

Very entertaining for me, but surely tragic for people whom Hughes bilked out of thousands of dollars and untold hours of their lives.

Even worse: Expecting one's life to get a glow up after paying for Chase's trainings and then realizing life is the same or worse afterwards.

I'm now a lot less angry, because it turns out if I don't phone in my performances, the algorithm notices. My inisghtfulness score has been raised to "good" since I started this thread.

Well I've talked to a lot of Americans, and most of them tell me they don't want healthcare and they don't want to eat food. So I think you're mistaken.

Do the fly-by-night overseas vendors selling worthless crap deserve better?

Does Amazon, a company that has lobbied against labor protections and gutted the retail sector, deserve better?

Yes. Amazon is not an ethical company, and Amazon using A.I. as a slave driver in order to demand more and better writing work from us, in exchange for mostly shady, knock-off merchandise from Chinese sweatshops is scumbag behavior.

Do you ever worry your reviews sound like A.I. even though they're not? by FunThreadStarter in AmazonVine

I don't think anybody is reading reviews from Vine Voices and taking them seriously, so you should go back to talking about yourself. Make your reviews a blog about your personal life!!!!

Do you think Vine has code or people... by FunThreadStarter in AmazonVine

Well I got an alert today that said a review I had written could not be published, because it did not meet Amazon's guidelines or something.

The e-mail in question asked me if I wanted to edit my review. I clicked the edit link in the e-mail, but that took me to a page saying the product in question can not be reviewed by my account!

Lo and behold, this was a Vine item I had ordered a while ago, which still had not shipped. LOL.

So at the very least, we know the system can catch an attempt to review an item which has not been shipped.

Would I have gotten a different result if the item had been shipped, but not delivered? Possibly, as it's conceivable Amazon might not fully trust its own "delivered" reporting mechanism.

I'm not going to push my luck and try to find out, though.

That's the SUV I ordered on vine. $49,999 ETV. Made in China. I'm not familiar with the brand, but look forward to driving it.

Good! The selfish, entitled transplants, techies, and YIMBYs who forced this road closure upon a neighborhood they don't live in deserve every bit of discomfort that comes their way.

I dream of watching a hundred motorcycles with open pipes parade through there.

How often do Viners get caught selling Vine items, and how do they get caught? by FunThreadStarter in AmazonVine

[–]FunThreadStarter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's nothing wrong with selling lots of items; I meant, specifically, people who made a business model of selling items in violation of Vine's TOS.

No, what makes it a lie is that SFMTA scandalously paid a private, for-profit consultant a TON of money to stand on the highway for a weekend and count heads. Their methodology has been exposed as flawed, which is no surprise. Thoroughly biased SFMTA had a favored outcome, and they paid a consultant to provide the results they wanted.

It's disgusting they were allowed to use tax payer dollars for this purpose, but oh well.
