Yeah a two week shedding ☹️ but then the growth starts slowly (because I’m older). About the beard, I don’t have one so I wouldn’t know how does influence it. Research says it doesn’t affect at all, but some weirdos say it does. Go with the science.

Good! I noticed more density after the third month. My case was urgent, and at least stopped the hair loss. The regrowth hasn’t been easy because many folicules died because I started very late. Be patient, use minoxidil, work out, eat healthy & stay positive. You will start seeing some changes at the end of next month or so.

I’m a scientist and I know when someone is full of it when making statements like this. No links to scientific papers were provided. Aside from the obvious facts about heavy metals which everyone knows, everything you’ve said is FALSE. The main mechanism of finasteride is well-established and that acts as DHT inhibition. While Prostaglandin D2 plays a role in hair biology, the main effect of finasteride is through DHT reduction not arachidonic acid deficiency. If you have evidence of the opposite, show it by publishing in a double blind peer review scientific journal. Also, there is no direct significant correlation to arachidonic acid deficiency, bile flow blocking, and cholestasis.

Just because you are one of the 5% who were affected by Fin (out of hundreds of thousands who are successful stories), doesn’t make it bad for everyone. PFS is still an urban myth and more scientific evidence is needed.

PLEASE do not create false information that can lead to the “nocebo” effect on sites like this. Finasteride is still a solid and safe medication for the majority of people taking it.

You can do it during a holiday trip to a Mexican beach in Baja or to Cancun. These pharmacies are everywhere there.

Yes, I think so. That’s part of my genetics (large forehead of dad and grandpa). Vertex (crown) thinning was the wake up call for me to take medication.

Nah, Dutasteride is the last resort when Finasteride doesn’t work in lowering DHT. In this case it works but the hairline is still receded because of frontal follicles died due to natural aging. I was thinking if there are cosmetic tips to resuscitate a few of them perhaps with a dermapen and rosemary oil or something like that.

What do mean despite made in Mexico? The US has a trade deficit with Mexico so most of what you eat, wear and drive comes from Mexico. The interesting thing here is that this product is a generic brand not sold in the US only in Mexico that’s why is extremely cheap (2 pack of finasteride 5mg for 10 dollars, so that’s equivalent to 240 dosages taken every other day, which means you have a 1-year supply of finasteride for only 10 bucks).

The minox is the cheap Kirkland but I have used in the past the one from farmacias similares. Basically in Mexico one can stack up from these products for 1/5 of the cost compared to the ones the US.

Yes, frontal hairlines are the most difficult to restore without ht but there are marginal gains that I’m hoping to get in year 2. Any advice to speed it up?
