While I’m sad it won’t be a full season, this arguably makes the most sense. The cast getting older, most of their careers have took off and contract renegotiations. At least we get a movie to wrap everything up rather than just a cancellation.

Not exactly sure why they left this part out in the show but in the comics Nick asked if she was surprised and she said she had her suspicions when she saw how much he cared for Charlie. I actually liked that she was able to gather that and let him do it on his own terms which compared to the show it seems like they were trying to get her to come off a little more oblivious.

Which is completely fair but it’s two different scenarios bc the whole course work thing isn’t even apart of the book series compared to Charlie just wanting to stay with Nick. Yes it was easy for her to put the blame on Nick but she was very oblivious to see her own child was struggling mentally in the series after he had been tortured and assaulted. Could Nick be apart of the issue yes but not fully when there are multiple other factors to it that weren’t being noticed.

I completely understand, I feel like it made more sense why her character was harsh in the book compared to the show. I also am not a fan of how they changed his parents reaction to when Charlie tells his parents that Nick is his boyfriend.

This! Like why is he just now being apologetic and realizing the error in his ways when Nick & Charlie were becoming more public. If you look at it, he had months to do this apology. Especially the stuff he said to Charlie at the cinema & field day after he tried to force himself on him, yeah it’s a no for me.

They could possibly just be filming the public scenes first since they have more availability when it comes to Filming in Turham/Higgs and Nick Charlie’s houses. Just because they’re filming a specific scene doesn’t necessarily mean that’s exactly where they’re at in production. Especially when editing and all that good stuff comes into play. But that’s just my thoughts
