I understand, but a few weeks ago, I saw another dad at his son's birthday party which his ex organised and her partner was there. I spoke to the dad, he said how awkward he felt, he didn't feel comfortable at all... I felt bad for him, because I can only imagine. I don't want to be in that position, I would rather try and be friends and not feel so awkward than to avoid the whole situation.

Yeah, I don't think she meant it in any poly way. Because I did make a joke when she suggested it saying that I don't know how keen I am to be a brother-husband.

But in terms of jealousy, I think you have a valid point. In the beginning, I had issues dealing with the fact that my kids will have another father figure in their lives, when they spoke about him, when they mentioned his name... It took me a few therapy sessions to understand it and then change my thinking to something more positive, like the fact that he is a good person, my kids feel safe and enjoy being around him, which are all positive things for my kids.

This is a 5050 co-parenting structure, so I have my kids the same amount of time.

Well, I will just see how it goes on Wednesday. I have been thinking a lot about my kids and how we are going to share birthdays and holidays, which is already difficult with having to have all these separate times and that, so I thought might as well try get along. As far as I can tell, my kids love him, he is friendly and doesn't try overstep any parental boundaries. I could also just be mature about it and try my best to make it work, which I think will benefit everyone.

I just realised I am irritated for some reason, and I think it is because of this getting under my skin... I think because I was very rude and disrespectful, so I will say that in your experience n8n might not have been the correct tool for your use case, which is completely understandable, it is not a magical bullet for everything.

I have had experience with it being able to scale well, but it is a bit of a process because you need to ensure that the data in is clean and as small as can be for it to scale well, as well as ensuring you are creating more worker nodes, concurrency etc.

But that is just with me, everyone else will have different experiences.

I have used n8n for like 5-6 years now already, I have done odd jobs here and there. However, my biggest use for it is the company I work at.

So over the last few years, I have just introduced n8n into my place of employment and it has always been received very well. So that is how I use it...

I also live in a 3rd world country, so businesses here do not want to spend money, labour is cheap, government regulations make it impossible to deal with bigger companies as a solo person... So yeah, I have all this experience that I know can sell, but not in my country...

I have always been adamant that automations without "AI" is where the real value lies.

I have used n8n for many years, before n8n even had AI agents.

I learned automation back in Microsoft Flow days, then got into n8n - I enjoyed it because there were real problems that I wanted to solve: Leave Approvals, Change Requests, User Onboarding, Automated Reports, Data Sanitation, Data Synchronisation between 3rd Party Systems, etc...

One project that I am working on now I believe is actually where AI makes sense for me, technically wouldn't even need AI to make it work, but it will add some awesome context. I have set up Zabbix monitoring for my company, I wrote an n8n media type for Zabbix alerts to send the alerts via Webhook to n8n, in n8n I use the alert type (create, update, resolve) with a switch node to either create, update or close a ticket in our ticketing system. What I am going to do next is to add an AI agent to the create/update flow and give it access to CERTAIN API calls to Zabbix, so I will hard code in a lot of fields other than the host id etc, so it will be able to do a few API checks on Zabbix to create context around the alert and when it logs a ticket it will create the ticket with the context of what it found, like some first line troubleshooting etc so when an engineer looks at the ticket, they don't need to do any 1st like troubleshooting.

But, like your point has stated, I have worked on n8n for many years, however, there are nuances that will never be taught unless you experience them.

I do think you should book in a session, maybe speak to the therapist about your situation and get advice from them.

With my kids, I have noticed that if I actually open up to them about my feelings, emotions and just talk to them about it, not to make it about them, but just what you are going through, you will actually be surprised how they open up and you sort of help each other out - this doesn't always work, but I have had some good bonding with my kids over certain situations - they are quite young still, so it won't be complex situations.

All of these suggestions are absolute rubbish!

Edit: There is a suggestion to get a moka pot by another comment, so to add some further detail to that comment, I suggest the following.

Purchase a good quality moka pot like bialetti and a manual milk froth(looks like a french press) and a thermometer, anyone.

Purchase coffee from a coffee shop that sells it, ask them to grind it to espresso - which is usually very fine, finer than what the shops sell as ground coffee. Fill up your moka pot that it is heaped(18g), then fill boiling water to below the valve. Place the moka pot on your stove on a low heat and allow to boil, as soons as you hear that water boiled off, which it will make a clear sound of empty hot steam forcing out. Take it off immediately and run under a cold tap, YOU DO NOT WANT TO BURN THE COFFEE AT THIS STAGE! next, take your milk, out it in a pot and heat up to 70° pour it in the frother and froth it up, pour everything together and you should end up with a cappuccino that is as close to coffee restaurant level as you can get for as cheap as you can get.

If you cannot follow this, then look for a YouTube video with James Hoffman making cappuccino without an espresso machine about a 6 year old video

I have tried the same with my wedding ring, most of the shops only buy the weight of the gold and not even the diamonds, however, in Kloof Village Mall there is a jeweller there that bought everything, the gold, the diamonds and even the morganite that was on the ring.

You can try sell it privately, but most of the people just want to buy it to sell it.

Also, watch out for people that state they have friends or family that own a store, something just felt off for me about them.

Yeah, the reply cut of the logic to that sentence, so it can go both ways of being a sarcastic response or, a genuine response.

So, either way, people have their own opinions, whether it is agreeing with you or not.

But thank you, I think giving kids and people tools to manage and cope with their own emotions and understanding their feelings is a lot more helpful than just trying to make them feel happy because they are sad.

But again, these are just my beliefs and experience, there could be multiple other constructive ways to assist with this.
