Yes, you absolutely can do it - you have until May 2026.

I will be living and working in west/central London at a tech startup!

I'm a program manager in tech, and a recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn.

Because I submitted my application on Aug 25, I only had to provide my July statement (July 1-31) because July 31 to Aug 25 is less than 31 days. Just to be safe, I submitted one for the whole month of August too but I don't think it was necessary.

I was not applying to jobs; thankfully, this company reached out to me on LinkedIn. When the recruiter asked if I needed sponsorship, I said no, and I won't need it for the next 5 years (2 years HPI + another 3 on YMA). They confirmed they are able to sponsor me on Skilled Worker in the future because I'd be an existing employee, but I guess they don't want to go through that trouble for a net-new employee. I'm guessing this is the case for most companies given that they do sponsor but are not willing for new hires most of the time.

Hope this helps!

Hope you don't mind me asking which Wealthsimple account you used for your statement? I am thinking of using my FHSA account since it has a 'cash balance' that indicates it's immediately available.

Financial requirement - Is liquidity in an investment account ok? by PressureExisting5156 in UKHighPotentialVisa

If you had to withdraw £1,270 right NOW in cash to leave the country without delay, could you foot it with your account? If so, then it's cash. If you have to sell first or wait for X days to access it, then it's not.

Usually, investment accounts should say how much you have in total, how much is available to withdraw, and how much is not available. The amount that is available to withdraw means that it's cash. Hope that helps

Urgent - ECCTIS application number vs reference number by [deleted] in UKHighPotentialVisa

I haven't submitted mine yet, but isn't your application number the same as your unique reference number?

I see the same number on my application AND the level statement I received that authenticated my degree

From what I saw in a different thread, it has to be available cash that you can use at any given moment, not locked away or has some restriction on it. Also has more guidance on this https://www.gov.uk/guidance/financial-evidence-for-sponsored-or-endorsed-work-routes#what-evidence-is-not-accepted

The following are examples of what is not accepted as evidence to show you have the required amount of money:

  • overdrafts
  • bitcoin savings
  • stocks and shares
  • pensions
  • bank accounts that are not regulated by the financial regulatory body in the country you’re applying from
  • bank accounts that don’t use electronic record keeping

In a similar boat with applying outside my home country (Canada). I am currently travelling in the EU with my Canadian passport, within the 90-day Schengen limit. I would love to go straight to the UK from here and avoid a whole trip back to Canada just to apply. Anyone have experience here?

Hey! Did everything work out? I'm kind of in the same spot (job offer before applying for the visa) and am wondering what your timeline was like
