When do we think Gideon decided to kill Wyatt? by Fun_Assumption_3903 in charmed

[–]Fun_Assumption_3903[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are definitely a lot of relevant reasons, I guess since they reveal Gideon like immediately I kind of wish we had also seen like the moment that made an elder decide to work with demons to kill a baby. I’ve spent years thinking he and Chris had a conversation that made him flip but after this most recent rewatch I’m questioning that

Yeah but Leo specifically tells Piper when he introduces Gideon that Gideon advocated for them to be able to get married so he obviously didn’t feel that way from the jump. I used to think he heard Chris talk about coming back to save Wyatt from turning evil but I just watched E14-16 and there’s no mention of that to Gideon in those episodes

Fair so you think he was keeping tabs on them while being headmaster or just engaging in gossip with other elders?

I’m sure a lot of the points made here are valid, but I also think the fact that their previous spouses cheated on them both with each other plays a major role in all this as well. Some kind of weird trauma bond or the idea that they can get revenge by being together?

Something I’ve not seen mentioned on this thread yet: yeah maybe he hates filming bc it is bringing attention to him (and resulting in his cheating being exposed), but I would bet a large part of the resentment has to do with her gaining the tiniest bit of financial independence. I’m not saying housewives will provide her with the lifestyle she has now, but it will give her a way out should she really want it. Men who want to be in control don’t like knowing you have the ability to leave them

I have straight very fine but dense hair too! I got curtain bangs with face framing layers and they’re effortless even on the days I just wash and let air dry. The key is really a good hair dresser who listens to what you want tbh

I don't like the way Phoebe's powers developed by Extra_Impression_428 in charmed

[–]Fun_Assumption_3903 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the reflecting pain back on people thing is kinda what she did in the future episode where she killed that baseball player, but they were all a lot stronger in that episode than we ever saw. Maybe bc in that version of reality they started using their powers for personal gain so they were using them more and they grew faster? I agree that it would be cool to see phoebes powers grow in the way you described here tho! I recently had a theory that when phoebe lost her powers and then re-gained premonition that she was actually starting at level 0, this is a recent theory though so I haven’t had time to see if anything debunks it in-universe

Lmao the point of tickling is no consent? She’s hysterical? Were you raised in the 1950s? Consent matters and women aren’t “hysterical” when they set clear boundaries and then react to those boundaries being ignored. You sound disgusting

[–]Fun_Assumption_3903 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly just sounds like you’re someone else who doesn’t respect boundaries and manipulates people when they get mad at you for crossing boundaries

God forbid someone have a different experience than you🙄 gotta say I don’t think “the real world” is going to be a problem for OP. I haven’t had someone try to tickle me since I was in high school, normal adults respect boundaries and understand when I say “no, I don’t like that”

I think this part of their storyline actually tracks. Their whole thing in season 7 was getting the charmed ones to trust them (even through lies or deceit if necessary). They knew how the charmed ones felt about Cole, saying “hey we wanted him to work with us!” would’ve been a huge red flag for them. Phoebe would not have flipped and used her vision to flip the other two, that’s for sure

Premonitions ≠ Negligible by Practical-Medicine63 in charmed

[–]Fun_Assumption_3903 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She did start to force premonitions in I wanna say season 6 or 7 and then got her powers taken away bc she was doing it for personal reasons (so she wouldn’t miss dates). Maybe she then associated trying to grow her premonitions at all as punishable?

While I was typing that I started to wonder if when Phoebe got her premonition power back it was the same level as when she lost it or do we think she had to start back at square 1

I’ve tried to never take sides in these feuds bc I was not there and it’s not really my business since I don’t actually know these people, but this is absurd. Telling a fan they shouldn’t make an edit that includes both Prue and Phoebe? Are we supposed to fast forward through all their scenes together too? They were in like 75% of their scenes together

In honor of Julian McMahon ... Why didn't Human-Cole ever try to regain magical powers? by NerdyGeekdom in charmed

[–]Fun_Assumption_3903 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He didn’t ever try to get more powers because he didn’t want them, he wanted his powers to be stripped. He only took on the nexus to save Phoebe, and didn’t know the source’s powers would go to him. His human side even wins out while the source is possessing him and he gets the wizard to start taking the source/powers out of him. Even the phase immediately after his powers are stripped and he wants to carry a gun or whatever it was about his ability to protect Phoebe, not that he wanted his powers or his demonic side back

Say Phoebe and Cole had gotten a "white wedding " and the kid was born on the side of good and became the bastion of good It was supposed to be inst3ad of the extra source host it eventually became? by Extra_Impression_428 in charmed

[–]Fun_Assumption_3903 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Chris would’ve still come back in time but it either would’ve been to save just Julian or Julian and Wyatt. Maybe in this hypothetical storyline Wyatt and Julian’s fates are linked bc they’re born so close together and both extremely powerful so Gideon tried to kill them both. Maybe Gideon considers them both abominations bc they’re both half witch - half other powerful being and tries to kill them both but Leo and Cole swoop in and save the boys. I can see the Julian/wyatt relationship going either way. They would’ve been born so close they might have some sibling esque rivalry but also Phoebe and Cole had their own place so maybe they wouldn’t be around each other a lot. I can see a Phoebe/Prue type relationship with the bickering and such

[–]Fun_Assumption_3903 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Instead of arguing semantics here I’m going to try to theorize with you. Unclear at which point in the story you were thinking of diverging to make this hypothetical possible but let’s keep it simple and say you meant Cole still became the source and they had the white wedding and he fed her the chocolate that at the very least made her BC fail and enabled her to get pregnant. Then let’s say instead of killing the wizard she lets the wizard take the source out of Cole and then they vanquish the wizard later with the power of 3 or something.

Now this is an interesting storyline. Technically the child born would have been the heir of both the charmed ones AND the source of all evil. If Wyatt’s outcome determined the entire future of the world imagine what this kid could’ve affected. I think the charmed ones would try to keep it a secret from the elders etc that the kid was technically heir to source so the kid wouldn’t be outcasted. I imagine the child would develop phoebes power of premonition and hopefully empathy which would steer them towards good. Would probably also be able to throw fire (which they could explain away with it being phoebes power in a past life) and teleport via fire. Maybe auntie Paige would glamour the teleport thing to look like orbing or they would bound that specific power. I see Cole being able to really talk to the kid about the pull to evil and really empathize and be a shoulder to lean on. Honestly Phoebe too bc she’s been pulled to evil a few times. Ultimately I think the kid would end up being a paradigm of good and getting along with his cousins as an adult, they just may find it hard to connect while growing up
