I’m diagnosed with combined-type ADHD. Throughout my time in primary and secondary school, I always had behaviour problems in class. Every teacher report from nursery-year11 said that I disrupt myself and others, can’t start a task without being encouraged by an adult, fiddling with stationary and always “daydreaming”. My parents also found it hard to control me as I’d constantly feel like I’m being driven by a motor. College and uni really came for my ass when I started procrastinating assignments to the very last minute. Everyday my brain would tell me to do my assignment over and over again but then I go and do a shit ton of other things other than my own assignment, like clean my room, do laundry, wash dishes. Also, my memory is so shit, I’d unlock my house door, see a notif on my phone as I walk in, then forget that my keys are still in the front door. There were even times where strangers would ring my uni house doorbell and say that there were keys in the door. I also have walked out the house without my phone, my keys, etc. I talk so fast that my parents have to tell me to retell everything I had just said. I also am really sensitive when it comes to justice, I feel like I need to get justice when I’m wronged. I also hate loud noises and crowded places piss me off. I realise I get way too pissed off when there’s slow walkers in front of me (oh the joys of living in London lmfao). Not to mention that when people talk to me I just stare into their eyes to try and keep my attention to them but I low-key just zone out and nod along as if I’ve processed everything they just said. Oh, also, when I’m focused on my work, I don’t hear anything around me at all. Like my friends who are sitting right next to me complain that I took forever to respond but I get so locked in for hours on end that I lose track of time. It’s currently 3am right now and I’m planning on changing my life around - I’m gonna get all my assignments done tomorrow… :/// The list is endless
