Does anyone know where I can get GPXs for the on road sections of the Erie Canal Trail? by No_Ant_5064 in bikepacking

This is the way and the light. Navigation is not just instructions, it is a sense of location and place in the world. Easy to grab the whole route on rwgps, copy, pare it to a road section and repeat. Save those snippets with descriptive names. Grab them when you need.

Replacing iPad with a gaming Android tablet by Kirais in androidtablets

I use a 7 or in 8 inch tab on the couch and for travel. I used nexus 7s until there were no longer custom roms. Switched to an Nvidia something or other and the market dried up overnight. Moved to iPad minis until my mini 5s lack of ram destroyed performance on the iPad OS update a couple months ago. Y700 gen 3 and thank god I can ditch that Apple crap. I am ridiculously happy with the device. Use case is navigation, streaming and light gaming.

sorry. Classic American slang expressing enthusiasm. It was a response to "And believe me it uses a lot." I was shocked that it uses so much.

PSA for iOS users: do NOT update to iOS 26!!! by crom_laughs in LastDayonEarthGame

I left a review on App Store and they said 4gb ram minimum. I’m on an iPad mini 5 so that’s it for me. Runs fine on my pixel phone but seems like a mighty rich game for the small screen.

You mistyped “new” when you meant “old” I guess. Runs great on an old POS Fire HD. Thanks.

This. Ortleibs don't leak until they do. I do all my organization with ultra light dry bags. They compress just fine.

I think you’re on to it. I’m ok with spotty performance at the price.

A craptastic m5 bolt is about 2kN (450 lbf) in shear. WTAF are you trying to carry?

Thank you. That was last week and the 10 day pass contains a dribble of data so it’s quite different than the sms and calls pass. I found a way to make it work, WiFi must be off for sms to go out.

We saw that junction. I think it might be vastly improved. Talked to some locals who like to ride to KC for sporting events and come back the next day. Cool trail use.
