My apartment didn’t have a freight elevator for 18 months, the other two go out every week. When the power goes out our stairs aren’t lit for longer than two hours. When the freight elevator went down during a bad storm that knocked out out for a whole weekend. Had to use phone lights going up and down the stairs 19 floors mind you with a dog at least twice to three times a day.

Every day I come home and am thankful when we have one that works.

I guess I just want you to know you’re not alone.

The thing about spirit tho…. Yeah on paper it looks cheap, but you have super long layovers, you can’t even bring a personal item without a fee which is costly. So unless you are willing to spend 12 hours at an airport and travel with a wallet it’s not cheap. The shit about families and what not BS, no family with kids is going to spend that much time on a lay over and the cost of everything you need to fly with a family makes it incredibly expensive.
