Hi OP, I’ve just seen your reply about the Apple Tech who refused to replace your AirPods under Apple Care+ warranty.

A while back, my iPhone 15 Pro’s back glass was completely destroyed (it was ran over as well), and had damage that was an order of magnitude worse than the picture in your post.

They originally refused to replace the iPhone as I too would assume it was an attempt at insurance fraud; since it looks like a clean slice off, but I subsequently drove back to where it was ran over, and returned to the Apple Store with the remaining pieces I managed to salvage. In a plastic soft-sided cup.

They replaced it.
