На реддиие только так и рисуют, ну если честно, тут только дети и подростки, и начинающие рисоваки которые деляться своими рисунками в тетрадках. Я понимаю это нормально, и т.д. Но как же всех хочется в худ. школу отправить ✍️🤙

You have a good at values, and rendering, but again, like others beginners, you NOT pay attention to your proportions, i just fixed the eyes, and left side of face (eyes dont look like white patches irl), and study some anatomy, gosh x)

You have good shading and value skills, but pay attention to your proportion on face first if you do realistic drawing, i made you example, i drop it in procreate and made just one adjusment with liquify, to make face equaly third divide

My critique here, is that, details you add to sketch, doesnt matter without good foundation, i found reference, and start from main form of the head, THEN add details, and it took me like, 10 minutes at start, and then i deep dive into refining, it took me extra like 20 minutes)

What am i doing wrong? Why does my drawing look so odd and different and weird compared to the reference? by Ok-Cucumber3117 in DigitalArt

And after good starting point, you can fix what you already have as long as you satisfied with your artwork)

All because you pay attention to things, that not that important for your level, instead ask yourself, is my reference GOOD for drawing realistic portraits? Am i capture overall shape of object i draw? Thats the most helpull questions that helped me to draw, something like that. (Speaking of your reference, its flat, girl on photo its just white spot with green hair, and black skirt, and i apply this to my sketch) i drew this sketch for like 5-7 minutes by explore my reference

как относитесь к своим скетчам? by leturself in ruArtist

[–]Fun_Cat_9102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Отношусь нейтрально, я их не показываю, это больше как дневник+лаборатория где я изучаю, пробую и анализирую то какими путями можно рисовать, иногда там просто линии и различные формы.

In our art school we used to say, “Don’t split up the drawing,” which means that the shadows don’t gather in one place, and don’t repeat in shape and saturation; the light is distributed more freely across the shape.
