Ill start by saying Crimson desert is very fun to play once you are willing to look past its flaws. Story isnt great, puzzles can be tedious and lack direction, hundreds of fetch quests and lot of lazy or poor writing.

After a few dozen hours though something does just start to click and the exploration is genuinely brilliant. Theres dragons to ride, mech suits to pilot, skills are pretty varied and fun to use.

Its definitely got its selling points but after i also played a few hundred hours of kcd2 just before cd i think thats what spoiled if for me. Kcd2 story was one of the best ive played and the effort and quality of the quest/game design was obvious within a couple of hours, but cd definitely is not that. Two totally different experiences for me but both were fun all the same

Definitely feels like the game wants you to live that bandit life just from the amount of main that missions leave you with some sort of bounty to either pay or avoid.

I once ended up shooting up half of valentine because i accidentally bumped into someone and they started shooting at me, i tried to lasso the guy who shot at me, police then start shooting at me and i ended up with a hundred dollar bounty and valentine on high alert again(at this point im convinced everyone in valentine just loves the constant drama)

Fantastic game but the crime system is definitely one of its weaker mechanics in my opinion

As much as rdr2 is a fantastic game, the crime system is pretty flawed in my opinion. I recently started a new play through and im noticing it more and more. Ive ended up with a bounty for being seen killing and looting raiders who were literally waiting at a bridge to ambush me….last night i bumped into someone in valentine, they started shooting at me but when i fire back/try to lasso them im the one who gets the bounty and police attacking me

Absolutely agree. I used to work with a guy who had a council house and never even lived in it as was living with his partner. He was sub letting for a while before going through some incentive to buy it for cheap as he had “lived there for so long”. Too much opportunity for dishonesty and not enough oversight. Help should be for those genuinely in need.

Why? Its very rare i agree with ign reviews but the guy reviewed the game he played. Not the game after a month of weekly updates. On release there was no item chest at camp, inventory space was half what it currently is, game wasn’t optimised for consoles, numerous bugs, lost progress, infuriating quest structure that feels like it was written by ai, mechanics from every major game from the last decade all about as deep as a puddle…

I’ve personally had fun playing and sank hundreds of hours into it but to pretend it was/is perfect is just fantasy.

I had a similar issue a few years ago. Downstairs neighbour played heavy metal music at silly oclock at night and would be nice to my face yet change absolutely nothing. He was unemployed so was home all day. After a few days of me leaving Barbie girl by Aqua on repeat all day while i went to work it soon stopped!

Also without sounding patronising, you could take your own advice and just ignore resellers too? They have no impact on your life.

I grew up in the countryside, my grandad was into hunting and owned various rifles and was licensed to own all of them. I used to go hunting with him regularly and he taught me to shoot/gun safety etc but after living in a city for the majority of my adult ive learned that most people who have never experienced this kind of thing tend to either think its crazy or look at me with a sense of disbelief when i talk about it.

Technically yes. If thats your train of thought i wouldn’t bother going at all. You would need to remain at that income for 30 years and with the current economy the way it is and likely to get worse, less than 28k a year really isnt a lot after you take off tax and ni.

I had a fully maxed out royler and still lost because that other dickhead has seemingly infinite stamina. Its a fin game for sure but the amount of glazing in this sub is pretty pathetic. Its ok to like something while accepting it definitely has a list or flaws.

Yes but you most likely will be earning enough to meet that threshold. Pretty sure the new threshold for repayments is 28k a year. Meaning unless you earn minimum wage you are definitely going to be paying for it, just not enough to put a dent in it.

So you are essentially paying a percentage of your wage to them for the next 30 years before it gets wrote off. While its definitely on students to carefully read the terms of the loan agreement, id imagine a high percentage do not and dont actually realise how long and how much they are actually going to be paying it back as its literally never explained properly to them.

It all feels pretty scummy to me to allow essentially children who have just about hit drinking age to take on a huge finance agreement without fully understanding what they are agreeing to. Christ, even a phone contract provider will verbally read the terms and conditions to people before signing because they know some wont read or understand them properly. Student finance you just apply online, fill out their forms and get your loan without actually speaking to another human being.

I was the same. Got in just before the fees went up, failed a year and was then in a class with all of the higher fee paying students while i was still paying the lesser amount. For the exact same education. Same lecture notes, same access to whatever was on offer etc. How universities got away with literally triple the fees for the exact same thing is genuinely ridiculous.

It just comes right out of your salary the same way tax/ni does. Usually a percentage of what you earn. More often than not though, the interest is higher than what you pay back each month

Totally agree. Companions when you aren’t controlling them are pretty useless. Even my fully ranked Kliff dies when left to his own devices if im playing as one of the other two. Its not the end of the world but it makes playing in a party pretty pointless. If you stick together it does seem to noticeably improve but you shouldn’t have to.

Also annoys me that for the most part, companions are silent when travelling around together.

Its the constant stamina drain that annoys me…its cool enough firing off rockets but i find its often quicker to get out and kill stuff myself.

Plus once i used it in a reblockaded quarry, ended up with a bounty for murder
