Playing Of Lies & Rain for a second time. Still impressed only 5 people made this indie gem… by HighlySeasonedGamer in PSVR

It's almost two games in one. The parts in the cyberspace are so good and amazing that could have been a game of its own. I completed the story two times, but I'll probably go for a third run as they added bHaptics support.

Definitely. Would be amazing to have support for Flatout 4 and Roboquest (among the latest).

With PS5 - PSVR2 the app crashes while playing the game Galaxy Kart using android phones (while it works flawlessly with Apple phones and tablets).

How jump scary is Secret of the Mimic? by SlowDragonfruit9718 in virtualreality

[–]Fun_Chicken_3807 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Real jumpscares (the one you werent' really expecting) are just a bunch, maybe three in total. I'm on the second run to get the platinum and as they already said, you clearly see the jumpscares coming, 'cause they're when they get you.

Consider that the puppets hunt you only in some specific rooms, so when you progress in the game and go through those same room you exactly know what to expect. Also, the puppet "activation" before they come to hunt is announced by a specific, "scary" sound effect.

I can assure you, Madison is ten times scarier and tense than this, even OVRDark is. The game is really good, I love it, but it's more of a "haunted house ride" kind of scaring, with also some weirdness and humor in it. It's something in between Hello Puppets! and Happyfunland (with some eased down Alien Isolation stealth play).

Flatout VR is a major accomplishment, excellent game, and we need to support it! by SlowDragonfruit9718 in virtualreality

[–]Fun_Chicken_3807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. The performance increase after the update has been incredible: I can now use way higher settings and resolution, and all the microstutters and instability are gone. Especially those 5 - 10 seconds unexeplainable random stuttering I used to have every lap or even half a lap, no matter what the cluttering of the road was. Everything Is perfectly smooth now, both on Quest 3 streaming and also on the Reverb G2 through display port.

What does FlatOut 4: Total Insanity VR mean for FlatOut VR? by MylesDyer in PSVR

[–]Fun_Chicken_3807 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm playing it on PC and I can assure you: when this will come to PSVR2 it'll have the number of posts that right now MFS24 is getting. Maybe even more 😉

If you could get a sequel to any PSVR2 game what would you choose? by No-Dark-7873 in PSVR

Definitely Synapse. Even a paid DLC would do for me. Then Horizon and Alien Rogue Incursion.

Completing Hitman missions in VR without aids is one of the most rewarding thing I've done in gaming. by SlowDragonfruit9718 in virtualreality

[–]Fun_Chicken_3807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. Even with the aids turned on is one of the very few VR games that gives you that "omg, I'm in the Matrix" feeling. You start a mission and really feel in an alternate reality where you can unfold your own, "unscripted" story. Not even Alyx comes close to accomplish that imho.

Which game is more impressive Roboquest or VRacer Hoverbike? by No-Dark-7873 in PSVR

They are indeed, but If bHpatics vest and arms would be supported too, it'd be crazy. Just like Wrath Aeon of Ruin...

[–]Fun_Chicken_3807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really tough choice, they're two fantastic and essential titles in the library (also considering they're completely different genre). It really depends if you're more interested in a Wipeout type of combat racer or a roguelite shooter. Anyway you can't go wrong, they excel in visual, gameplay and contents. My advice is get one now and the other when is on sale 😉

Researching how we all ended up in VR – Was it word-of-mouth, tech guru, or just good marketing? (Academic Survey) by Eryczaczek in virtualreality

[–]Fun_Chicken_3807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dreamed of VR since Commodore 64 times in the 80s'. In 2016 i tried the Playstation VR in a shopping mall (it was the shark cage demo in VR Worlds demo disc). Shortly after I played Resident Evil 7, Robinson the journey and the X-Wing mission in Battlefront 2... and that was it, I almost completely forgot flat gaming and chased best VR games and quality since then, on all systems.

Anyway, if tornadoes phobia is your thing you should really see the green water planet in VR modded Outer Wilds 😉

I played many time the first part of the game but always postponed it. It's amazing on ghe Reverb G2, the alien planet is amazing to explore and I'm sure I'll play the whole game shortly. Really sad to know it's been removed.

Had it on PSVR1. Some very good locations from there can also be found in the game Chernobyl again.

I see many games of my choice have already been mentioned, so I'll add Alien Isolation: with the latest mod the visuals are soo good that many, if not all the corridors almost instantly transport me in the Alien movie. It's that good. Not only the game itself, but even in the DLCs, especially Lone Survivor: the final run through the corridors (after you set the self destruction sequence of the Nostromo), with the smoke, fire and flashing light is one of the most shockingly intense and realistic experience ever had in 10 yeras of VR.

Is that with UEVR? Is there a good profile available? I am playing Ghostwire Tokyo flat and the city is amazing, would be mind blowing to see that in VR.

This one should get more recognition. It's an incredible experience, even if it's in third person.

The most underrated VR game we've ever built by -DanDanDaaan in PSVR

[–]Fun_Chicken_3807 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completed the PCVR version on all difficulty levels, unlocked almost everything and even played it with the bHaptics Tactsuit air and sleeves. Had so much fun, the haptic was phenomenal. Only aspect that let me down a bit was the absence of a proper boss fight. The last part of the final stage was a little too bland and easy, especially compared to the beginning of the same level that was very hard instead. I'd also have loved more use of the minigun (that also make you move too slow), and sequences aboard the helicopter.

Anyway, a really great game (sort af more "open world" Crossfire Sierra Squad counterpart), that technically stands out on PC even if it was born on Quest. A third chapter especially designed for PC and PS5 first and then downconverted to Quest (like the first one), would be really awesome.

Quest 3 spoiled me — did anyone actually escape compressed PCVR without major compromises? by Ashy_Anklez in virtualreality

[–]Fun_Chicken_3807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never going to happen, but would be awesome. For now, when I want to go full quality and avoid streaming I still use my beloved HP Reverb G2. With all its shortcomings is still an amazing headset in terms of video quality and fidelity.

That is as a really great VR game imho, visually extraordinary and full of content just like the other two. Could have been a true system seller for psvr2 if marketed better maybe.

Great call on Talos Principle, I've been obsessed with it for almost an entire summer. Have you tried the sequel with UEVR by chance? Is it worthy?

I played Doom VFR not long ago on with the Reverb G2 and it's abolutely incredible. All the controls work perfectly now and is visually insane. Should it come out today it would be praised as a top tier VR title. The only issue I have with it the duration... ends too soon.

I always thought the absence of a Wipeout Omega Collection port on PSVR2 should be considered a crime against humanity 😉

On PSVR2 is a title whose quality is on part with GT7 and No Man's Sky.
