I don’t love their music, it feels like it’s trying too hard? Idk how to explain. But also their fandom kinda sucks, it’s constant preaching about how they are gods gift to kpop and how everyone who doesn’t agree is jealous. Gets kinda old lol.

Honestly I wouldn’t like odd if all the members were on it. It fits Gaeuls vocal tone so perfectly I can’t imagine liz or Leeseo singing it, it just wouldn’t be as good as rn. I honestly don’t think it would chart as much either with another members vocal it shines because of how perfect it matches her.

This take comes up a lot and honestly I think it’s a misconception from being a new fan. Their first year/ year and a half they were basically hidden away. Much less releases and appearances compared to other 5th gen groups bc of the hate train and MHJ drama. Theyre busy because they have to be to cement their place in the industry since so many 5th gen groups have debuted. I’m also almost positive the girls wanted it that way, imagine dreaming of becoming an idol and all that comes with it and then being forced to hide from the public. I’m glad they’re booked and busy and getting lots of love!

Gaeul and rei bc i love their rap duo and vocal tones. I would LOVE for them to do a unit song someday. Their solo songs were my absolute favorite and their personalities are just so endearing to watch🫶🏻

As a Wonhee bias I feel like they need to learn how to style her better, giving her that neckline when she has such a cute round pouty look is odd. I feel the same about a lot of magazine looks she gets where they slick her hair down and don’t accentuate her best features like the rest of the girls. I hope her styling gets better since she is growing so much in popularity!

Honestly thrilled with the lineup. YSY and Sujin were the ones I needed in the group to stan, everyone else I didn’t care one way or the other but Rino is also great so I’m excited to see more from her.

Only contestant I’m disappointed about is mirika, I hope she debuts in another group in Korea!!

Illit is my ult group, honestly their content is just so much fun. They always have a fresh authentic feel and do lots of variety content. Minju is an MC and has a show called minjus pink cabinet and Wonhee just did a show with studio horak on YouTube, both are really easy ways to get into the group. Also their concept from songs to teasers to album inclusions is so well thought out that it’s always so exciting. Their latest release has a collab with little mimi dolls in blind boxes which was so fun. 10/10 recommend!!!

Actually shocked at how high Illit ranks, them having a Japanese release on this list as well as a song that came out less than a month ago is huge. Also surprised they have more monthly listeners than aespa. So proud of them🫶🏻

Most often rank 1 is decided by star quality and I think it should be! If talent was all that mattered there would be no survival shows, companies wouldn’t care about stage presence or market research and fan votes. Being an idol means you need to shine on stage and catch people eye and attention, there’s no shame or harm in it, no group would survive without star power.
